মালদা- চলতি মরশুমে মালদা জেলায় আমের ফলন তুলনামূলক ভাবে কম হয়েছে। বাজারে আমের দাম আকাশছোঁয়া। এমন পরিস্থিতিতে এই বছর আমসত্ত্ব তৈরিতে কোপ পড়েছে। চড়া দামে আম কিনে আমসত্ত্ব তৈরি করতে পারছেনা প্রস্ততকারীরা। এদিকে খারাপ আবহাওয়া থাকার আমসত্ত্ব শুকোতে সমস্যায় পড়তে হচ্ছে। একাধিক প্রাকৃতিক বিপর্যয়ের জেরে এবারে আমসত্ত্ব ব্যবসায়ীরা ক্ষতির মুখে পড়তে চলেছেন। মালদা ইংরেজবাজার থানার কোতুয়ালি গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের কল্যাণপুর এলাকার আমসত্ত্ব ব্যবসায়ীদের বর্তমান এই অবস্থা। গোপালভোগ, ফজলি, হিমসাগর আম দিয়ে প্রত্যেক বছর প্রায় চার থেকে পাঁচ কুইন্টাল তিনি আমসত্ত্ব তৈরি করে থাকেন। তবে এই বছর মাত্র ৫০ থেকে ৬০ কেজি আমসত্ত্ব তৈরি করেছেন ব্যবসায়ীরা। তার একটাই কারণ খারাপ আবহাওয়া ও আমের ফলন কম হওয়ায়। এ বিষয়ে ম্যাংগো মার্চেন্ট অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের সভাপতি উজ্জল সাহা জানান, আমসত্ত্ব হল ক্ষুদ্র,কুটির ও গৃহশিল্প। জেলায় প্রতিবছর আমসত্ত্বের ওপর ১০০ কোটির ব্যবসা হয়। এর জন্য আলাদা করে শ্রমিকের প্রয়োজন হয়না। গৃহবধূরা সংসারের কাজ সামলে আরাম সে ব্যবসা করতে পারেন। কিন্তু এবছর খামখেয়ালি আবহাওয়ার জন্য আমের ফলন সেইরকমভাবে হয়নি। তাই এর ব্যাপক প্রভাব পড়েছে আমসত্ত্ব কারবারে। আমসত্ত্বের উৎপাদন এবছর নেই বললেই চলে। তাই এবছর আমসত্ত্বের দাম আকাশছোঁয়া হবে বলে আশা প্রকাশ করেছেন তিনি। এদিকে শুধু আম নয়, মালদা জেলার আমসত্ত্বের জন্যও বিখ্যাত। রাজ্যে বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে আমসত্বের চাহিদা রয়েছে। শুধু তাই নয়, দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে মালদার আমসত্ত্ব বিক্রি হয়। আমসত্ত্ব গোটা বছর ধরে বিক্রি হয়।তার এই চাহিদা ব্যাপক। পাকা আমকে বিশেষ পদ্ধতিতে ছাড়ানো হয়। আমের রস তৈরি করে সেগুলি কড়া রোদে শুকিয়ে তৈরি হয় আমসত্ত্ব।
