শুভ ঘোষের রিপোর্টঃ চলতি বছরের জুন মাসের মাঝামাঝি সময়ে Godrej ১২৫ বছর পূর্ণ করেছে, এবং সেই পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে Godrej corporate এর ঐকান্তিক প্রচেষ্টায় সমগ্র ভারতে, Go Green উদ্যোগটি নেওয়া হয়েছে, যেখানে Godrej nijer office প্রাঙ্গনে ১২৫০টি বৃক্ষরোপণ করার অঙ্গীকার নিয়েছে। সারা ভারত জুড়ে বৃক্ষরোপণ কর্মসূচি এক মহাযজ্ঞের সামিল এবং এটি একটি CSR activities এর পদক্ষেপও বটে। কলকাতার Godrej office-এর পক্ষ থেকে দুটি পর্যায়ে এই কর্মসূচী সম্পন্ন হল। প্রথম ধাপে বিশ্ব পরিবেশ দিবস উপলক্ষে, Godrej Office-এর সল্টলেক সেক্টর ফাইভ শাখায় এবং তাদের জঙ্গলপুর (জেজিপি) distribution centre-এ, প্রায় ৫০টি গাছ রোপণ করা হয়েছে।
দ্বিতীয় ধাপে, ১৫ই জুন, Godrej বিধাননগর পৌরসভার সহযোগে, সল্টলেক সেক্টর ফাইভ মেট্রো স্টেশনের কাছে কয়েকটি প্যাচ চিহ্নিত করে প্রায় ১৩০টি বৃক্ষরোপণ করেছে, যার মধ্যে আছে আম, আমলা, জাম ইত্যাদি। পরিবেশকে সবুজ ও সুস্থ করে তুলতে, সামগ্রিকভাবে এক সবুজ বিশ্বের দিকে, এক সবুজ আগামীর দিকে এগিয়ে যাওয়ার ছোট্ট অথচ খুবই ইতিবাচক প্রচেষ্টা Godrej এর।
Godrej and Boyce Ltd. দ্বারা নেওয়া একটি সবুজ উদ্যোগ যা সমস্ত শাখার বাণিজ্যিক বিভাগ দ্বারা পরিচালিত হয়েছে।
বৃক্ষরোপণের এই সবুজায়ন অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিধাননগর পৌরসভার টিম হেড ও মেয়র ইন কাউন্সিল শ্রীমতী রহিমা বিবি, ব্রাঞ্চ কমার্শিয়াল ম্যানেজার- জনাব ইরফান ওয়াদুদ, টিম লিডার- সিনিয়র ম্যানেজার অ্যাডমিনিস্ট্রেশন- শ্রী সুমিত কান্দুলনা, প্রধান ব্যবস্থাপক – গ্রাহক সহায়তা – জনাব আলী ইমাম, সিনিয়র ম্যানেজার লজিস্টিকস – শ্রী মনদীপ ব্যানার্জী এবং শাখার সকল কর্মীবৃন্দ – সৌমেন সিনহা, সৌমিক মুখার্জি, শৌভিক দাস, দেবব্রত পণ্ডিত। তারা এই মহাযজ্ঞে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করেছেন।
Shubha Ghosh’s report: Godrej completed 125 years in mid-June this year, and in that context, with godrej corporate’s earnest efforts, the Go Green initiative has been taken all over India, where Godrej has pledged to plant 1250 trees in the nijer office premises. The plantation programme across India is a mahayagna and is also a step towards CSR activities. The programme was completed in two phases by godrej office in Kolkata. In the first phase, on the occasion of World Environment Day, around 50 trees have been planted at The Salt Lake Sector 5 branch of Godrej Office and at their Junglepur (JGP) distribution centre.
In the second phase, on June 15, Godrej, in collaboration with bidhannagar municipality, identified a few patches near salt lake sector five metro station and planted about 130 trees, including mangoes, amlas, jams, etc. Godrej’s small yet very positive effort to make the environment greener and healthier, towards a greener world as a whole, towards a greener tomorrow.
A green initiative undertaken by Godrej and Boyce Ltd. which has been managed by the commercial divisions of all branches. The greening ceremony of the plantation was attended by Smt Rahima Bibi, Team Head and Mayor-in-Council of Bidhannagar Municipality, Mr. Irfan Wadud, Branch Commercial Manager- Mr. Irfan Wadud, Team Leader- Senior Manager Administration- Shri Sumit Kandulana, Chief Manager – Customer Support – Mr. Ali Imam, Senior Manager Logistics – Shri Mandeep Banerjee and all the staff of the branch – Soumen Sinha, Soumik Mukherjee, Shouvik Das, Pandit Debabrata. They have played an important role in this mahayagya.
