গোপাল বিশ্বাস, নদীয়া-ঃ আজ ১৭ই জুন নবদ্বীপ শহরের প্রাক্তন পৌরপতি তথা নবদ্বীপ শহর তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের প্রথম সভাপতি জীবন কৃষ্ণ সাহার ১৭তম প্রয়াণ দিবস পালন করা হয়। প্রতি বছরের মতো এবছরও শ্রদ্ধার সাথে বিভিন্ন কর্মসূচীর মাধ্যমে তা পালন করা হয় নবদ্বীপ শহর তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের তরফে। এদিন সকালে নবদ্বীপ পৌরসভার ২১নং ওয়ার্ড প্রাচীন মায়াপুর বাজার এলাকায় জাতীয় পতাকা ও তৃণমূলের দলীয় পতাকা উত্তোলনের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানের সূচনা হয়। পরে প্রায়ত জীবন কৃষ্ণ সাহার আবক্ষ মূর্তিতে মাল্যদান ও দুঃস্থ মেধাবী ছাত্র ছাত্রীদের মধ্যে আর্থিক সাহায্য করা হয় এবং নবদ্বীপ হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন রোগীদের মধ্যে ফল বিতরণ করা হয়। এদিনের এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন নবদ্বীপের বিধায়ক তথা রাজ্যের প্রাক্তন মন্ত্রী পুণ্ডরীকাক্ষ সাহা, ছিলেন নবদ্বীপের পৌরপতি বিমান কৃষ্ণ সাহা, উপস্থিত ছিলেন শহর তৃনমূল কংগ্রেসের সভাপতি শ্যামাপ্রসাদ পাল সহ নবদ্বীপের কাউন্সিলরগণ ও অসংখ্য তৃণমুল কংগ্রেসের কর্মী সমর্থকরা। পৌরপতি বিমান কৃষ্ণ সাহা বলেন জীবন কৃষ্ণ সাহার অবদান আমরা অস্বীকার করতে পারি না, তিনি অনেক কাজ করে গেছেন, তার প্রতি বছর আমরা এই দিনটিকে যেভবে পালন করি এবারও করেছি, তিনি আমাদের মধ্যে তার কাজের মাধ্যমে বেঁচে আছেন ও থাকবেন।
Gopal Biswas, Nadia- Today, 17th June, the 17th day of the death of Jiwan Krishna Saha, the former president of Nabadwip city and the first president of The Nabadwip City Trinamool Congress, was celebrated. This morning, the event began with the hoisting of the national flag and trinamool party flag in the old Mayapur Bazar area of Ward No. 21 of Nabadwip Municipality. Later, the bust of Jeevan Krishna Saha was garlanded and financial assistance was given to the poor meritorious students and the fruits were distributed among the patients undergoing treatment at The Nabadwip Hospital. The event was attended by Nabadwip MLA and former state minister Pundarikaksha Saha, Nabadwip’s mayor Biman Krishna Saha, president of the city Trinamul Congress, Shyamaprasad Pal, councillors of Nabadwip and a large number of Trinamool Congress workers’ supporters. We can’t deny the contribution of Jeevan Krishna Saha, he has done a lot of work, he has done a lot of work, every year we celebrate this day, this time too, he is and will live among us through his work.
