মালদাঃ উচ্চমাধ্যমিকে ইংরেজিতে ফেল করায় গলায় ফাঁস দিয়ে আত্মহত্যা করলো এক ছাত্রী। ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে মালদার হব্বিপুর থানার থানার ডুবা পাড়া এলাকার ঘটনা। মৃতদেহ ময়না তদন্তে পাঠিয়ে ঘটনার তদন্ত শুরু করেছে পুলিশ। পুলিশ সুত্রে জানা গিয়েছে মৃত ছাত্রীর নাম শম্পা হালদার (১৭)। সে স্থানীয় আর এন রায় গার্লস স্কুলের এই বছর উচ্চমাধ্যমিক পরীক্ষা দেয়। এবছর আর এন রায় স্কুল থেকে ১৮০ জন পরীক্ষার্থী ছিল। তার মধ্যে ৮০ জন পাশ করে বাকি জন ফেল করেছে। এরপর পাশ করানোর দাবিতে মালদা বুলবুলচন্ডী রাজ্য সড়ক অবরোধ করে বিক্ষোভ দেখায়। সম্প্রতি জেলা শিক্ষা দপ্তর ঘেরাও করে বিক্ষোভ শুর করে। এই বিক্ষোভে সামিল ছিল ওই ছাত্রী। যদি মৃত ছাত্রীর বাবা কুশি হালদার জানায়, পরীক্ষায় ফেল করায় পরিবারের সদস্যদের অলক্ষ্যে গলায় ফাঁস দিয়ে আত্মহত্য করেছে। ঘটনার খবর পেয়ে পুলিশ এসে মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করে ময়না তদন্তের জন্য মালদা মেডিক্যালে পাঠিয়ে ঘটনার তদন্ত শুরু করেছে পুলিশ। জেলার অতিরিক্ত সুপার শাহ অমিত কুমার জানান,প্রাথমিক তদন্তে অনুমান পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ না হওয়ার কারনে আত্মহত্যা করেছে। ঘটনার তদন্ত শুরু হয়েছে।
Malda: A student committed suicide by slitting her throat after failing in English in higher secondary. The incident took place in Duba Para area of Habibipur police station police station in Malda. Police have sent the body for autopsy and started an investigation into the incident. According to police sources, the deceased student has been identified as Shampa Haldar (17). She took her higher secondary examination this year at the local R N Roy Girls’ School. There were 180 candidates from R N Roy School this year. Of them, 80 passed and the rest failed. The student was involved in the protest. If the father of the deceased student, Kushi Haldar, said that the family members committed suicide by slitting their throats as they failed in the examination. On getting information about the incident, the police came and recovered the body and sent it to Malda Medical College for autopsy and started an investigation into the incident. Additional superintendent of the district Shah Amit Kumar said he committed suicide due to not clearing the preliminary probe. An investigation into the incident has begun.
