সুমাল্য মৈত্রঃ লিটিল ম্যাগাজিন লেখক তৈরীর কারিগর । কলেজ স্ট্রীটে পা রাখলেই প্রায়সই চোখে পড়ে হরেক রকমের লিটিল ম্যাগাজিন তার কোনোটা আবার বিষয় ভিত্তিক তো কোনোটা সাধারণ সংখ্যা । এই লিটিল ম্যাগাজিন থেকেই উঠে আসে আগামী দিনের অসংখ্য প্রতিভা। লিটিল ম্যাগাজিন আদতে একটা আন্দোলনের নাম সেই মন্ত্রকেই পাথেও করে পথ এগিয়ে চলেছে। লিটিল ম্যাগাজিন আপামর মানুষদের ভালোবাসার প্রতিষ্ঠান, কলিকাতা লিটিল ম্যাগাজিন লাইব্রেরী ও গবেষণা কেন্দ্র ।যার জন্মদাতা হচ্ছেন সন্দীপ দত্ত। 
আজও অনেক অনেক মানব-মানবী আসা যাওয়া করেন তার এই সারস্বত প্রতিষ্ঠানে । কেউ বা আসেন বিভিন্ন তথ্য নিতে কেউ বা আসেন পড়াশোনা করতে । সম্প্রতি ২৩ শে জুন বৃহস্পতিবার কলেজ স্কোয়ারের মহাবোধি সোসাইটি হলের প্রেক্ষাগৃহে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়ে গেলো কলিকাতা লিটিল ম্যাগাজিন লাইব্রেরী ও গবেষণা কেন্দ্রের পঁয়তাল্লিশতম প্রতিষ্ঠা দিবস ও বত্রিশতম সমাবর্তন উৎসব। করোনার কারনে যা দু’ বছর বন্ধ ছিল। সাহিত্যিক সাংবাদিক গৌর কিশোর ঘোষ নামাঙ্কিত মঞ্চে দুই হাজার একুশ ও দুই হাজার বাইশ সালের পুরস্কার তুলে দেওয়া হয় । প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন কবি মৃদুল দাশগুপ্ত ছাড়াও অন্যান্য অতিথি বৃন্দ । লিটিল ম্যাগাজিন নিয়ে আজীবন কাজ করে যাওয়ার জন্য এদিন সন্মানিত করা হয় আরাত্রিক পত্রিকার সম্পাদক দুর্গাদাস মিদ্যা ছাড়াও এদিন সন্মানিত করা হয় ডঃ দীপাঞ্জনা মন্ডল, অন্তরা চৌধুরী সহ আরও অনেককেই । একটা অপমান থেকে এই লিটিল ম্যাগাজিন লাইব্রেরী ও গবেষণা কেন্দ্রের পথ চলা । যা এক কথায় আজও অনন্য ও নজিরবিহীন । যার জন্য আজও সন্দীপ বাবু নিজেই নিজের ঐকান্তিক প্রয়াসে অর্থ সংগ্রহ করেই এই লাইব্রেরী চলে, সবকারী কোন সাহায্য ছাড়াই।

As soon as you step on college street, you see almost all kinds of little magazines, some of which are subject-based and some are ordinary numbers. From this little magazine comes the many talents of the future. The Little Magazine is actually the name of a movement that is moving forward in the same ministry. Little Magazine is an institution of love for your people, the Calcutta Little Magazine Library and research center. Whose birther is Sandeep Dutt. Today, many human beings come to this institution. Someone comes to take different information or someone comes to study. Recently, on Thursday, June 23, the forty-fifth foundation day and thirty-two convocation of the Calcutta Little Magazine Library and Research Centre was held in the auditorium of The Mahabodhi Society Hall in College Square. Due to Corona which was closed for two years. Two thousand twenty-one and two thousand twenty-two awards were presented on the stage named after literary journalist Gaur Kishore Ghosh.
Poet Mridul Dasgupta and other guests were present as the chief guest. Apart from Durgadas Middya, editor of The Artrik magazine, Dr. Dipanjana Mandal, Antara Chowdhury and many others were also honoured for their lifetime work on The Little Magazine. From an insult to the path of this Little Magazine Library and Research Center. Which, in a word, is unique and unprecedented today. For this reason, even today, Sandeep Babu himself collects money with his earnest efforts, this library runs without any help from all the workers.
