করিমপুর থেকে বিশ্বজিৎ রায়ের রিপোর্টঃ আজ নদীয়ার করিমপুরে মায়াপুর ইসকন দ্বারা পরিচালিত এক বিশেষ রথযাত্রা মহোৎসব পালিত হয়। মায়াপুর ইসকন এবং স্থানীয় ভক্তদের দ্বারা পরিচালিত হয়ে ন’দিনের রথযাত্রা ভাগবত পাঠ কীর্তন পথ পরিক্রমা ইত্যাদির বিশেষ আয়োজন করা হয়। নদীয়ার করিমপুরের মহিষবাথান থেকে রথযাত্রা শুরু হয় এবং শেষ হয় নাটনার মানিকপুর লোকনাথ আশ্রমে। প্রচুর মানুষের ঢল নামে এই রথযাত্রা দেখার উদ্দেশ্যে। করিমপুরে এই প্রথম এই রথযাত্রা। মানুষ উল্লাসিত হয়ে পড়ে ইসকনের ভক্ত জানান তারা প্রতিবছর এই ধরনের অনুষ্ঠান করবেন মহিষবাথান থেকে জগন্নাথদেব মানিকপুরে যাত্রা করেন মাসির বাড়ির উদ্দেশ্যে। উক্ত অনুষ্ঠান চলাকালীন করিমপুরে প্রচুর যানজটের সৃষ্টি হয়। করিমপুর পুলিশ প্রশাসনের সুন্দর সহযোগিতায় জনজীবন স্বাভাবিক হয়।
Biswajit Roy’s report from Karimpur: A special Rath Yatra Mahotsav conducted by Mayapur ISKCON was celebrated at Karimpur in Nadia today. The nine-day Rath Yatra is organised by Iskcon in Mayapur and local devotees and special arrangements are made for the Bhagavata Path Parikrama etc. The rath yatra begins from Mahishbathan in Karimpur in Nadia and ends at Manikpur Loknath Ashram in Natna. This rath yatra is intended to be seen in the name of a lot of people. This is the first rath yatra in Karimpur. People are elated and iskcon devotees say that they will do such an event every year from Mahishbathan to Jagannathdev Manikpur for his aunt’s house. There was a lot of traffic congestion in Karimpur during the event. With the good cooperation of karimpur police administration, public life was normalized.
