মধ্যমগ্রাম থেকে সুমাল্য মৈত্রের রিপোর্টঃ কোভিড ও করোনার কারণে টানা দুই বছর ঘর বন্দি হয়ে ছিলো আপামোর জনসাধারণ অবশেষে রথের মেলাকে কেন্দ্র করে আনন্দ উৎসবে মেতে উঠেছেন আট থেকে আশি সকলেই। মধ্যমগ্রাম কালীবাড়ির বিপরীতে দত্ত বাড়ির রথ বরাবরই মধ্যমগ্ৰামের সমস্ত বাসিন্দাদের কাছে একটা পারিবারিক উৎসব হয়ে গেছে। মধ্যমগ্ৰামের এই রথ যাত্রা শুরু হয়েছিল ১৯৫২ সালে । বৈদ্যনাথ দত্ত ও রণজিৎ দত্তের হাত ধরেই এই রথের সুচনা। বর্তমানে দত্ত বাড়ির পরিচালনাধীন এই রথের সমস্তটাই হাসিমুখে সামলাচ্ছেন দত্ত বাড়ির তৃতীয় প্রজন্ম । নব সাজে সজ্জিত হয়ে এই রথ এবারে ঘর বন্দি মানুষের কাছে একটা খোলা মেলা আনন্দময় বার্তা নিয়ে এসেছে । দত্ত বাড়ির তৃতীয় প্রজন্মের সাথে কথা বলে জানা গেছে আগে এই রথ ছিলো তিন তলা বাড়ির সমান। অনেক ইতিহাস শ্রম দিয়ে যে রথের চাকা গড়িয়েছিলো আজ তার দায়িত্ব পালন করছেন তৃতীয় প্রজন্মের সবাই।

Baidyanath Dutta and Ranjit Dutta are holding hands of this chariot. The third generation of the Dutt household is handling all the chariots currently being managed by the Dutta house with a smile. Dressed in a new look, this chariot has brought an open and joyous message to the people in the house this time. Talking to the third generation of the Dutt house, it is learnt that earlier this chariot was equal to a three-storey house. Everyone in the third generation is now fulfilling the responsibility of the chariot that rolled the wheels of the chariot with a lot of history.
