মালদা: ইংলিশ বাজার পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির সদস্য মাইনুল সেখের উদ্যোগে লক্ষ্মীপুর সমাজের কবরস্থানের সংরক্ষণের ঘর ও নবনির্মিত উজুখানার শুভ উদ্বোধন করা হল। এদিন বিকালে লক্ষ্মীপুর এলাকায় অনুষ্ঠিত এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিধায়ক তথা তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের জেলা সভাপতি আব্দুর রহিম বক্সি, বিধায়িকি সাবিত্রী মিত্র, মালদা জেলা পরিষদের সদস্য প্রতিভা সিং, স্বপন মিশ্র, ইংলিশ বাজার পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির সভাপতি লিপিকা বর্মন ঘোষ,পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির সদস্য মাইনুল শেখ, কাজী গ্রাম অঞ্চলের প্রধান সত্যজিৎ চৌধুরী, তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের শ্রমিক সংগঠনের জেলা সভাপতি শুভদীপ সান্যাল সহ অন্যান্যরা। এদিন ফিতে কেটে লক্ষ্মীপুর সমাজের কবরস্থানের সংরক্ষণের ঘর ও নবনির্মিত উজুখানার শুভ উদ্বোধন করা হয়। জানা যায় ইংলিশ বাজার পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির সদস্য মাইনুল শেখের ব্যক্তিগত আর্থিক সহযোগিতায় কবরস্থানের ঘর ও নবনির্মিত উজুখানা তৈরি করা হয়েছে। তার পাশাপাশি এদিন এই অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্যে দিয়ে দুই হাজার দুঃস্থ পরিবারের হাতে ঈদ উপলক্ষে নতুন বস্ত্র তুলে দেওয়া হয়। এই বিষয়ে বিধায়ক তথা তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের জেলা সভাপতি আব্দুর রহিম বক্সি জানান সত্যিই এই উদ্যোগ প্রশংসনীয়। অন্যদিকে এই বিষয় মালদা জেলা পরিষদের সদস্য স্বপন মিশ্র জানান, তৃণমূল পঞ্চায়েত সদস্য মাইনুল শেখ নিজস্ব উদ্যোগে কবরস্থানের সংরক্ষণের ঘর এবং নবনির্মিত উজুখানা তৈরি করেছেন। তার এই উদ্যোগকে সাধুবাদ জানান তিনি। এই বিষয়ে ইংলিশ বাজার পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির সদস্য মাইনুল শেখ জানান, রক্ষণাবেক্ষণের অভাবে বেহাল অবস্থায় পড়েছিল লক্ষ্মীপুর সমাজের কবর স্থান। তাই তিনি নিজে উদ্যোগ নিয়ে নতুনভাবে সাজিয়ে তুলেছেন কবরস্থান। অন্যদিকে ইংলিশ বাজার সমিতির সদস্য মাইনুল শেখের এই উদ্যোগকে সাধুবাদ জানিয়েছেন এলাকাবাসীরা।
Malda: At the initiative of English Bazar Panchayat Samiti member Mainul Sekh, the conservation room of the graveyard of Laxmipur society and the newly built Ujukhana were inaugurated. The function, which was held in Laxmipur area this afternoon, was attended by MLA-cum-District President of Trinamool Congress Abdur Rahim Bakshi, Bidhyki Savitri Mitra, Malda Zilla Parishad member Pratibha Singh, Swapan Mishra, English Bazar Panchayat Samiti President Lipika Barman Ghosh, Panchayat Samiti member Mainul Sheikh, Kazi Gram Area Chief Satyajit Chowdhury, Trinamool Congress Workers’ Union District President Shubhadeep Sanyal and others. On this day, the ribbon was cut and the preservation room of the graveyard of Laxmipur society and the newly built Ujukhana were inaugurated. It is learnt that with the personal financial assistance of English Bazar Panchayat Samiti member Mainul Sheikh, the graveyard house and the newly constructed Uzhukhana have been built. Along with this, new clothes were handed over to 2,000 poor families on the occasion of Eid. Mla and Trinamool Congress district president Abdur Rahim Bakshi said the initiative was indeed commendable. On the other hand, Malda Zilla Parishad member Swapan Mishra said that Trinamool panchayat member Mainul Sheikh has built the preservation house of the cemetery and the newly built Ujukhana on his own initiative. He applauded his initiative. In this regard, Mainul Sheikh, a member of the English Bazar Panchayat Samiti, said that due to lack of maintenance, the burial place of The Laxmipur society was in a bad condition. So he took the initiative and rebuilt the cemetery. On the other hand, the residents applauded the initiative of English Market Association member Mainul Sheikh.
