গোপাল বিশ্বাস,নদীয়া-ঃ বেআইনি ভাবে গঙ্গার মাটি পাচারের অভিযোগ প্রায়সই ওঠে নবদ্বীপ শহরে ও ব্লকে। সম্প্রতি নবদ্বীপ মাঝদিয়া ও পানশিলা এলাকায় মাটি মাফিয়াদের সক্রিয়তা বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছিল কিছু দিন যাবৎ। কিন্তু তা আর বেশি দিন টিঁকলো না মাটি মাফিয়াদের দৌরাত্ম্য, পুলিশের জালে আটক দুটি মাটি বোঝাই ট্রাক্টর। পুলিশ সুত্রে জানা যায় দীর্ঘদিন ধরে বেআইনী ভাবে গঙ্গার মাটি পাচারের অভিযোগের খবর আসছিল ও এলাকা থেকে। গত শুক্রবার নবদ্বীপের মহিশুরা ও পাণশিলা এলাকায় পুলিশ অভিযান চালিয়ে দুটি বালি মাটি বোঝাই ট্রাক্টর উদ্ধার করে যদিও পুলিশ দেখে পালিয়ে যায় ট্রাক্টর দুটির চালক। পরে ট্রাক্টর দুটিকে পুলিশ থানায় নিয়ে আসে। পাশাপাশি রয়্যালিটি ছাড়া অবৈধ ভাবে মাটি পাচারের অভিযোগের ভিক্তিতে চালকদের ও ট্রাক্টরের মালিকের বিরুদ্ধে মামলা রুজু করে তদন্তে নবদ্বীপ থানার পুলিশ প্রশাসন।পুলিশের এহেন উদ্যোগে খুশি সকলেই।
