ইন্দ্রজিৎ আইচঃ সারা ভারতবর্ষে নারী ও শিশু পাচার নিয়ে একটা বিরাট ঘটনা। তা নিয়ে বহুদিন ধরে ওয়ার্ল্ড ভিসিন ইন্ডিয়া নানা কাজ করে চলেছে। সম্প্রতি নিউ মার্কেটের কাছে মার্ক হোটেলে নারী ও শিশু পাচার ও নিরাপত্তা নিয়ে এক আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠিত হলো। উপস্থিত ছিলেন সুদেষ্ণা রায় (স্পেশাল কনশালটেন্ট, ওয়েস্ট বেঙ্গল কমিশন ফর প্রটেকশন অফ চাইল্ড রাইটস), মধুমিতা হালদার (স্টেট কনসালটেন্ট প্রিভিনসন অফ ট্রাফেকিং ডিপারমেন্ট অফ উওমেন এন্ড চাইল্ড ডেভেলপমেন্ট এন্ড সোসাল ওয়েলফেয়ার), কাকলি ঘোষ কুন্ডু( ইন্সপেক্টর ইনচার্জ বারুইপুর উওমান ট্রাফেকিং ইউনিট , AHTU) ড: সারফাজ আহমেদ খান (প্রফেসর, দা ওয়েস্টবেঙ্গল ন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটি অফ জুডিশিয়াল সায়েন্স)
এবং জোসেফ ওয়েসলি (হেড আন্টি চাইল্ড ট্রাফেকিং প্রজেক্ট এন্ড চাইল্ড প্রোটেকসন স্পেশালিস্ট ওয়াল্ড ভিশন ইন্ডিয়া)। এই একদিনের সেমিনারে ১৫ জন অল্প বয়সী মেয়েরা তাদের নিজেদের জীবনের কথা তুলে ধরেন। কি ভাবে তারা বাড়ি ছাড়া হয়। খারাপ মানুষের পাল্লায় পড়ে , তাদের ওপর শারীরিক অত্যাচারের শিকার হয় , মা বাবা, পরিজন ও প্রতিবেশী সবাই তাদের থেকে থেকে দূরে সরে যায় এরকম জীবনের নানা ঘটনা তারা বলেন। এই সেমিনারে মা ও শিশু সহ ৭০ জন অংশ নেয়।
এই বিষয়টা নিয়ে বারুইপুর থানার আই সি কাকলি ঘোষ কুন্ডু জানালেন শুধু দক্ষিণ ২৪ পরগনার শুধু বাসন্তী, কুলতুলি নয়, উত্তর ২৪ পরগনা ,গোবরডাঙ্গা, সহ বাংলাদেশ, নেপাল, ভুটান, পুনে এমনকি তামিলনাড়ু এ সব জায়গা থেকে নারী ও শিশু উদ্ধার হয়েছে। তাদের কোনো নামের ঠিক থাকে না, ঠিকানা, কে বাবা মা, ভাষা গত সমস্যা, কে কি করেছে তাদের সাথে, কারা কারা যুক্ত এই অপরাধ চক্রর সাথে সঠিক ভাবে কেউ বলতে পারে না, যদি কেউ ধরা পড়ে সাক্ষী পাওয়া যায় না, এরকম নানা সমস্যার মধ্যে আমাদের কাজ করতে হয়, তবুও পুলিশ প্রশাসন ২৪ ঘন্টা খুব সতর্ক থাকে এই বিষয়ে। গোপনে এই রকম কোনো অপরাধের খবর পেলেই স্টেপ নেওয়া হয়। তবে পুলিশের তৎপরতা, বিভিন্ন এনজিও র পূর্ন সহযোগিতায় নারী ও শিশু পাচার অনেক কমেছে। আগে যেমন বিহার , রাচি, বাঁকুড়া, পুরুলিয়া থেকে এই অপরাধের স্বর্গ রাজ্য ছিলো সেগুলো অনেক কমেছে। অপরাধীদের ধরা হয়েছে। মধুমিতা হালদার জানালেন গ্রামে গ্রামে গিয়ে এই বিষয় যত প্রচার করা যাবে তত জন সচেতনতা বাড়বে। চাইল্ড লাইনে 1098 এ ফোন করতে হবে এটাও বোঝাতে হবে। জোসেফ ওয়েসলি জানালেন, যে সব মেয়েদের আমরা উদ্ধার করে আনছি তাদের দিয়ে বিভিন্ন স্কুলে প্রচার করানো হয়। তাদের হাতে কলমে স্বনির্ভর করে তোলার চেষ্টা করা হয় বিভিন্ন এনজিওর মাধ্যমে। চিত্র পরিচালক সুদেষ্ণা রায় জানালেন রাজ্য সরকার সার্বিক ভাবে নারী ও শিশু পাচার নিয়ে ও তাদের সুরক্ষা নিয়ে কাজ করে চলেছে।সব মিলিয়ে খুব সুন্দর ভাবে এইদিন ওয়াল্ড ভিশনের এই আয়োজনে নারী ও শিশুদের সুরক্ষা ও নিরাপত্তা নিয়ে আলোচনা ও সেমিনার অনুষ্ঠিত হলো।
Indrajit Aich: A big case of trafficking of women and children all over India. World VCIn India has been doing a lot of work on this for a long time. Recently, a discussion on trafficking and safety of women and children was held at the Mark Hotel near New Market. Sudeshna Roy (Special Consultant, West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights), Madhumita Haldar (State Consultant Prisoner of Trafaking Division of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare), Kakoli Ghosh Kundu (Inspector In-charge Baruipur Uwman Trafaking Unit, AHTU) Dr. Sarfaz Ahmed Khan (Professor, The West Bengal National University of Judicial Science)
and Joseph Wesley (Head Aunty Child Tracing Project and Child Protection Specialist World Vision India). In this one-day seminar, 15 young girls spoke about their own lives. How come they’re out of the house? They tell many incidents of life when they fall into the clutches of bad people, they are subjected to physical torture, parents, family and neighbors are all away from them. The seminar was attended by 70 people including mother and child.
Ic Kakoli Ghosh Kundu of Baruipur police station said that women and children have been rescued not only from Basanti, Kultuli but also from North 24 Parganas, Gobardanga, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Pune and even Tamil Nadu in South 24 Parganas. They don’t have the right names, the addresses, who are the parents, the language problem, who has done what to them, who is involved with this crime syndicate, no one can say exactly who is involved in this crime syndicate, if someone is caught and there is no witness available, we have to work in such problems, yet the police administration is very careful about this 24 hours. Steps are taken when such a crime is reported secretly. However, with the full cooperation of the police, various NGOs, the trafficking of women and children has decreased a lot. Earlier, bihar, ranchi, bankura, purulia, which were the heaven states of this crime, they have come down a lot. Criminals have been caught. Madhumita Haldar said that the more this issue can be propagated in the village, the more awareness of the people will increase. It is also important to understand that you have to call 1098 on the child line. Joseph Wesley said, “The girls we are rescuing are promoted to different schools. Efforts are made to make them self-reliant through various NGOs. Film director Sudeshna Roy said the state government has been working on the trafficking of women and children as a whole and their safety. All in all, on this day, in a very beautiful way, discussions and seminars were held on the safety and security of women and children organized by The World Vision.
