ইন্দ্রজিৎ আইচঃ অঞ্জন বসু নিবেদিত, শর্মিষ্ঠা মাইতি রাজদীপ পাল পরিচালিত, অরোরা ফিল্ম কর্পোরেশনের আসন্ন ছবি ‘কালকক্ষ’ (হাউস অফ টাইম) ঘিরে বাংলা সিনে প্রেমীদের উদ্দীপনা বহুদিনের! সমস্ত অপেক্ষার অবসান ঘটিয়ে গত ২৭ জুলাই বুধবার অরোরা ফিল্ম কর্পোরেশনের ঐতিহ্যবাহী অফিসে সামনে আনা হল ‘কালকক্ষ’ ছবির অফিসিয়াল ট্রেলার। এই ছবির মাধ্যমে ৪৫ বছর পর সিনেমা নির্মাতা হিসেবে ফিরছে ১১৬ বছর পুরোনো চলচ্চিত্র সংস্থা অরোরা। ট্রেলার মুক্তি উপলক্ষে এদিনের অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ছবির কলাকুশলীরা, উপস্থিত ছিলেন অভিনেত্রী তন্নিষ্ঠা বিশ্বাস, শ্রীলেখা মুখার্জী, অভিনেতা জনার্দন ঘোষ, এবং আরও অনেকে।
অতিমারির ভয়াবহতা যে কি আকার ধারণ করতে পারে আজকের দিনে দাঁড়িয়ে তা সকলেরই জানা। তবে অতিমারি বিধ্বস্ত পৃথিবীতে মানুষের মানসিক সুস্থতা ঠিক কতটা প্রয়োজনীয়, মানুষের মানবিক হওয়াটা ঠিক কতটা প্রয়োজনীয়, একে অপরের জন্যে থাকাটা ঠিক কতটা প্রয়োজনীয়, চিকিৎসকদের সমাজের প্রতি দায়বদ্ধতা কতটা প্রয়োজনীয় এবং ঠিক একইভাবে সমাজকে বাঁচিয়ে রাখতে চিকিৎসকদের সুস্থ থাকাটা যে কতটা প্রয়োজনীয় সেটা এই ছবি দর্শকদের শিখিয়ে দিয়ে যাবে। ছবিতে ডাক্তারের ভূমিকায় অভিনয় করেছেন জনার্দন ঘোষ, এছাড়াও ছবিতে অন্যান্য মুখ্য ভূমিকায় রয়েছেন তন্বিষ্ঠা বিশ্বাস, শ্রীলেখা মুখার্জি এবং অহনা কর্মকার। ছবিতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকাতে দেখা যাবে অমিত সাহাকেও। ছবিতে ক্যামেরার দায়িত্বে রয়েছেন রানা প্রতাপ কারফর্মা। ছবিটি সম্পাদনার দায়িত্বে রয়েছেন পরিচালক জুটি রাজদীপ পাল ও শর্মিষ্ঠা মাইতি স্বয়ং। ছবিতে সঙ্গীত পরিচালনা করেছেন অভিজিৎ কুন্ডু। ছবিটির প্রযোজনার দায়িত্বে রয়েছে শতাব্দী প্রাচীন ঐতিহ্যবাহী প্রযোজনা সংস্থা অরোরা ফিল্ম কর্পোরেশন।
আন্তর্জাতিক স্তরে দীর্ঘ সময় ধরে সাড়া জাগিয়ে আসছে ‘কালকক্ষ’ ছবিটি। বিভিন্ন সময়ে আন্তর্জাতিক চলচ্চিত্র উৎসব গুলিতে একের পর এক পালক যোগ হয়েছে ‘কালকক্ষে’র মুকুটে। ২৬তম বুসান ফিল্ম ফেস্টিভ্যালে ছবিটির ওয়ার্ল্ড প্রিমিয়ার হয়। ছবিটি নির্বাচিত হয় নিউ কারেন্টস কম্পিটিশন সেকশনে। আবার বুসান চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবেই নিউ কারেন্টস ও নেট প্যাক অ্যাওয়ার্ডের জন্যে মনোনীতও হয় এই ছবি। ইতিমধ্যেই বাহাত্তর তম বার্লিন আন্তর্জাতিক চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবে ইউরোপিয়ান ফিল্ম মার্কেটে নির্বাচিত হয়েছে এই ছবি। ১০ টি ভারতীয় ছবির মধ্যে একমাত্র বাংলা ছবি হিসেবে সম্মানিত হয় ছবিটি। ভারতে ‘কালকক্ষে’র প্রিমিয়ার হয় গোয়ায় অনুষ্ঠিত ইন্ডিয়ান প্যানোরমা খ্যাত ৫২তম আন্তর্জাতিক চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবে(IIFI)। ছবিটির জন্য বোস্টন সপ্তম আন্তর্জাতিক ক্যালাইডোস্কোপ চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবে জুড়িদের বিচারে শ্রেষ্ঠ অভিনেত্রীর শিরোপা জেতেন অভিনেত্রী তন্বিষ্ঠা বিশ্বাস। পরিচালক জুটি রাজদীপ পাল ও শর্মিষ্ঠা মাইতি শ্রেষ্ঠ চিত্রনাট্যের জন্য গোল্ডেন স্প্যারো অ্যাওয়ার্ড জেতেন ডায়োরামা আন্তর্জাতিক চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবে। আবার সেরা কস্টিউম ডিজাইনের জন্যে চিদানন্দ দাশগুপ্ত মেমোরিয়াল অ্যাওয়ার্ড পান এই পরিচালক জুটি। ঢাকা আন্তর্জাতিক চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবের জন্যে অফিসিয়ালি নির্বাচিত হয়েছে কালকক্ষ ছবিটি। মেলবোর্নে অনুষ্ঠিত ভারতীয় চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবে এই ছবির প্রিমিয়ারের জন্যে নির্বাচিত হয়। রাশিয়ায় চলতি বছরের অক্টোবরে ওরেনবার্গ চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবের কম্পিটিশন সেকশনে ছবিটিকে আমন্ত্রন জানানো হয়।
ছবির পরিচালক জুটি রাজদীপ পাল ও শর্মিষ্ঠা মাইতি জানালেন, ” অতিমারির যন্ত্রনা বিশ্বজুড়ে আপনি যেই প্রান্তেই থাকেন না কেন আপনাকে তা সহ্য করতে হয়েছে। ঠিক সেই জায়গা থেকেই ছবিটির সাথা আপনি একাত্ম হতে পারবেন। এর উপস্থাপনা পারিপার্শ্বিক অন্যান্য ছবির থেকে অনেকটাই ভিন্ন, আর সেখান থেকেই আপনার এক অনন্য উপলব্ধির জায়গা তৈরি হবে ছবিটি ঘিরে। যে অভিজ্ঞতা শুধু বড় পর্দাতেই পাওয়া সম্ভব বলে মনে হয়। আপনারা ট্রেলারটা দেখুন, তবে বিষয়টি নিয়ে একটি সম্মক ধারণা আপনারও তৈরি হবে। যা ছবি আপনাকে বড় পর্দায় দেখবার জন্যে আরও বেশি করে আগ্রহী করে তুলবে। কালকক্ষ (হাউস অফ টাইম) বুসান আন্তর্জাতিক চলচ্চিত্র উৎসব থেকে শুরু করে, ভারতীয় আন্তর্জাতিক চলচ্চিত্র উৎসব সহ একাধিক চলচ্চিত্র উৎসবে যে ভাবে সম্মান পেয়ে চলেছে, তাতে আমরা খুবই আনন্দিত। বার্লিনালে ইউরোপিয়ান ফিল্ম মার্কেটে এক মাত্র বাংলা ছবি হিসেবে নির্বাচিত, এই স্বীকৃতি আমরা ভাগ করে নেব সমস্ত বাঙালীর সঙ্গে। এই আন্তর্জাতিক সম্মান পেয়ে আপ্লুত আমরা, আর ছবির অফিসিয়াল ট্রেলার মুক্তির পর থেকেই যে ভাবে মানুষের ভালোবাসা পাচ্ছি, তাদের যে রকম প্রতিক্রিয়া পাচ্ছি তাতে সত্যিই ছবিটা নিয়ে বেশ আশাবাদী লাগছে।”
প্রযোজক অঞ্জন বসু অন্যদিকে বলেন, “কালকক্ষ ছবিটি এমন একটা ছবি, যেটা বাঙালীকে সত্যিই নতুন কিছু উপহার দেবে। বাংলা ছবি আজ যে পরিস্থিতিতে রয়েছে, এই ছবি তার থেকে অনেক খানি আলাদা… এই ছবির আন্তর্জাতিক সম্মান লাভ বার বার এই ছবির অংশ হিসেবে আমায় আশাবাদী করে তোলে। আর পাঁচটা ছবির থেকে ভাষায় ভাবনায় কালকক্ষ এক অন্য স্বাদ পরিবেশন করবে দর্শকদের। ছবির ট্রেলার মুক্তির পর থেকে মানুষের স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত প্রতিক্রিয়া ছবিটি নিয়ে আমায় আশাবাদী করে তুলেছে। আগামী ১৯ আগস্ট দর্শকেরা বড় পর্দায় ছবিটি দেখতে পারবেন। “

The film has already been selected in the European Film Market at the Seventy-Two Berlin International Film Festival. The film was honoured as the only Bengali film among the 10 Indian films. The premiere of ‘Kalkaksh’ in India was held at the 52nd International Film Festival of Indian Panorama in Goa (IIFI). Actress Tannishtha Biswas won the Best Actress award at the Boston 7th International Kaleidoscope Film Festival for the film. Director duo Rajdeep Pal and Sharmishtha Maity won the Golden Sparrow Award for Best Screenplay at the Diorama International Film Festival. The director duo also received the Chidananda Dasgupta Memorial Award for best costume design. The film has been officially selected for the Dhaka International Film Festival. The film was selected for its premiere at the Indian Film Festival in Melbourne. The film was invited to the competition section of the Orenburg Film Festival in Russia in October this year.
