মালদা: বাড়তি খরচ কাঁধে চাপল আমজনতার। দিন প্রতিদিন এমনিতেই বাড়ছে নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় জিনিসের দাম। তার ওপর জিএসটির খাড়া। কৃষি পণ্যের পাশাপাশি নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় খাদ্য সামগ্রির ওপর পাঁচ শতাংশ জিএসটি লাগু হাওয়াতে সমস্যার মধ্যে পড়েছেন ব্যবসায়ী এবং আমজনতা। এই বিষয়ে জেলা ব্যবসায়ী নেতা তথা মালদা ম্যাংগো মার্চেন্ট অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের সভাপতি উজ্জল সাহা জানান, কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে বিভিন্ন কৃষি পণ্য যেমন চাল,মুড়ির পাশাপাশি দই, মিষ্টি, ছানা, সহ যেকোনো নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় খাদ্য সামগ্রী ওপর জি এস টি বসানো হয়েছে। এর ফলে কৃষি পণ্যের সাথে যুক্ত ব্যবসায়ী জিএসটির বেড়াজালে পড়বে। জি এস টি লাগু হওয়ার ফলে সাধারণ মানুষের উপর বাড়তি একটা বোঝা চাপবে। ভারতবর্ষের ইতিহাসে এই প্রথম রেকর্ড যে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার কৃষি পণ্যের উপর জি এস টি লাগু করল। কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের এই তমলুকী সিদ্ধান্তে আমরা তীব্র বিরোধিতা করছি।
Malda: The extra cost has been on the shoulders of the common man. The price of essential commodities is increasing every day. GST is steep on it. Traders and the common people are facing problems due to the imposition of 5 per cent GST on agricultural products as well as essential food items. In this regard, district business leader and president of Malda Mango Merchant Association Ujjal Saha said that the central government has installed GST on various agricultural products such as rice, mudi as well as any essential food items including curd, sweets, chickpeas, etc. This will result in traders associated with agricultural products falling under gst net. The imposition of GST will put an additional burden on the common man. This is the first record in the history of India that the central government has imposed GST on agricultural products. We strongly oppose this decision of the Central Government.
