মালদা: বিশিষ্ট সমাজসেবী তথা মহদীপুরের রূপকার প্রয়াত রামচন্দ্র ঘোষের মৃত্যুবার্ষিক উপলক্ষে এক স্মরণ সভার আয়োজন করা হল। শুক্রবার সকালে ভারত বাংলাদেশ আন্তর্জাতিক মহদীপুর স্থল বন্দরে আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল অনুষ্ঠানের। জানা যায় এদিন এক মিনিটের নীরবতা পালন এবং প্রয়াত বিশিষ্ট সমাজসেবী রামচন্দ্র ঘোষের পূর্ণবয়ব মূর্তিতে মাল্যদান করে স্মরণ সভার উদ্বোধন করা হয়। উপস্থিত ছিলেন মালতিপুরের বিধায়ক তথা মালদা জেলা তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের সভাপতি আব্দুর রহিম বক্সি, বৈষ্ণবনগর বিধানসভা কেন্দ্রের বিধায়িকা চন্দনা সরকার, মালদা জেলা পরিষদের শিক্ষা কর্মাধ্যক্ষ প্রতিভা সিং, ইংলিশ বাজার পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির সভাপতি লিপিকা বর্মন ঘোষ, মহদীপুর এক্সপোটার্স অ্যাসো- সিয়েশনের সম্পাদক প্রসেনজিৎ ঘোষ, মহদীপুর সি এন্ড এফ এজেন্ট ওয়েলফেয়ার অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের সম্পাদক ভূপতি মন্ডল, হৃদয় ঘোষ সহ অন্যান্যরা। জানা যায় এই স্মরণ সভার মধ্যে দিয়ে প্রায় দুই হাজার দুঃস্থ মানুষের মধ্যে বস্ত্র তুলে দেওয়া হয়।
Malda: A memorial meeting has been organized to mark the death anniversary of the late Ramchandra Ghosh, a prominent social worker and rupkar of Mahadipur. The event was organised on Friday morning at the India-Bangladesh International Mahadipur land port. It is known that a minute’s silence was observed and a memorial meeting was inaugurated by garlanding the full-fledged statue of late eminent social worker Ramchandra Ghosh. Among those present were Malatipur MLA and Malda District Trinamool Congress President Abdur Rahim Bakshi, Badhika Chandana Sarkar of Baishnabnagar Assembly Constituency, Pratibha Singh, Education Officer of Malda Zilla Parishad, Lipika Barman Ghosh, President of English Bazar Panchayat Samiti, Prasenjit Ghosh, Secretary of Mahadipur Express Association, Bhupati Mondal, Secretary of Mahadipur C&F Agent Welfare Association, Hriday Ghosh and others. It is known that through this memorial meeting, clothes were distributed to about 2,000 needy people.
