গোপাল বিশ্বাস, নদীয়া-ঃ গত ২৯ তারিখ ছিল মোহন বাগান ক্লাবের জন্ম দিন। সেই উপলক্ষ্যে, নবদ্বীপের মোহন বাগান ক্লাবের সমর্থকদের তৈরী নবদ্বীপ মেরিনার্স আজ আয়োজিত করে অনুর্ধ ১৯ এক প্রীতি ফুটবল ম্যাচ। যেখানে অংশগ্রহন করে কোলকাতার মোহামেডান স্পোর্টিং ক্লাবের অনুর্ধ ১৯ দল ও নবদ্বীপ মেরিনার্স অনুর্ধ ১৯ দল। আজ বিকেল ৪ টে নাগাদ নবদ্বীপ বিবেকানন্দ স্টেডিয়ামে অনুষ্ঠিত হয় এই প্রীতি ফুটবল ম্যাচ। নবদ্বীপের বিধায়ক স্বামী বিবেকানন্দের প্রতিকৃতিতে মাল্য দান করে এদিনের অনুষ্ঠানের শুভ সূচনা করেন। বিধায়ক পুণ্ডরীকাক্ষ সাহা ছাড়াও উপস্থিত ছিলেন নবদ্বীপ থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত আধিকারিক সহ নবদ্বীপ পৌরসভার উপ পৌরপতি, নবদ্বীপের অন্যতম জনপ্রতিনিধী শ্যামাপ্রসাদ পাল, মোহামেডান স্পোর্টিং ক্লাবের কোচ আবির হোসেন সহ অনেক গুণীজন। টান টান উত্তেজনায়,দর্শক পূর্ণ স্টেডিয়ামে জমজমাট খেলা হয়। খেলার প্রথমার্ধে কোন দল কোন গোল না করতে পারলেও দ্বিতীয়য়র্ধে মোহামেডান স্পোর্টিং ক্লাব একটি গোল করে এগিয়ে যায়। এবং শেষ পর্যন্ত তারাই জয় লাভ করে। খেলা শেষে দুই দলের হাতে ট্রফি তুলে দোওয়া হয়।মোহামেডান স্পোর্টিং ক্লাবের কোচ আবির হোসেন বলেন নবদ্বীপ শহরের বুকে এধরণের এক খেলার আয়োজনে তিনি আপ্লুত, পাশাপাশি তিনি এদিন এই খেলার থেকে নবদ্বীপ মেরিনার্স দলের থেকে 4 জন খেলোয়াড় কে মোহামেডান ক্লাবের রিজার্ভ টিমের জন্য সিলেকশন করেছে। আবির হোসেন এর এই সিদ্ধান্ত ও ঘোষণায় খুশি নির্বাচিত হওয়া খুদে ফুটবলারা ও তাদের কোচ।

On that occasion, the Navdeep Mariners, made by the supporters of Mohan Bagan Club in Nabadwip, organized an under-19 friendly football match today. Where the under-19 team of Mohammedan Sporting Club of Kolkata participated and the Navdeep Mariners Under 19 teams participated. The friendly football match was held at the Nabadwip Vivekananda Stadium around 4 pm today. The Nabadwip MLA made an auspicious start to the day’s event by donating a garland to the portrait of Swami Vivekananda. Apart from MLA Pundarikaksha Saha, the officer-in-charge of Nabadwip police station along with the deputy mayor of Nabadwip municipality, Shyamaprasad Pal, one of the public representatives of Nabadwip, Abir Hossain, coach of Mohammedan Sporting Club, were also present on the occasion. In the excitement of tension, the game is played in the stadium full of spectators. Although no team could score a goal in the first half of the game, Mohammedan Sporting Club went ahead with a goal in the second half. And in the end, they won. At the end of the game, the trophy was handed over to both the teams. Mohammedan Sporting Club coach Abir Hossain said that he was excited to organize such a game in the heart of The City of Nabadwip, as well as he has selected four players from the Navdeep Mariners team for the reserve team of The Mohammedan Club from this game.
