মালদা: গ্রামকে শহরের রূপ দিতে অভিনব উদ্যোগ তৃণমূল নেতা তথা বিশিষ্ট সমাজসেবী প্রসেনজিৎ ঘোষের। নিজস্ব উদ্যোগে মহদীপুর অঞ্চলের গড়মহলি থেকে পাঁচ মাথা মোড় পর্যন্ত ২৪ টি মিনি মাস্ট টাওয়ার লাইটের ব্যবস্থা করা হল। বুধবার তার আনুষ্ঠানিক উদ্বোধন করা হয়। উপস্থিত ছিলেন মালদা জেলা পরিষদের শিক্ষা কর্মাধ্যক্ষ প্রতিভা সিং, ইংলিশ বাজার পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির সভাপতি লিপিকা বর্মন ঘোষ সহ স্থানীয় বিশিষ্টজনেরা। উল্লেখ্য মহদীপুর অঞ্চলের গ্রামবাসীদের দীর্ঘদিনের দাবি ছিল এলাকায় পর্যাপ্ত লাইটের ব্যবস্থা করা হোক। কারণ সন্ধ্যা নামতেই অন্ধকারে ছেয়ে যেত গোটা এলাকা। ফলে নানা রকম সমস্যার মধ্যে পড়তে হত গ্রামবাসীদের। অবশেষে তাদের দাবি পূরণে এগিয়ে আসেন তৃণমূল নেতা তথা বিশিষ্ট সমাজসেবী প্রসেনজিৎ ঘোষ। তার উদ্যোগে তার বাবা স্বর্গীয় রামচন্দ্র ঘোষের স্মৃতির উদ্দেশ্যে এলাকা জুড়ে ২৪ লাইটের ব্যবস্থা করা হয়। বুধবার তার আনুষ্ঠানিক উদ্বোধন করা হয়। এই বিষয়ে মালদা জেলা পরিষদের শিক্ষা কর্মাধ্যক্ষ প্রতিভা সিং জানান, সত্যিই এই উদ্যোগ প্রশংসনীয়। শুধু অর্থ থাকলে নয় এর জন্য উদার মানসিকতার প্রয়োজন। এলাকাবাসীদের দীর্ঘদিনের সমস্যা সমাধানে এগিয়ে আসার জন্য প্রসেনজিৎ ঘোষের এই উদ্যোগকে সাধুবাদ জানিয়েছেন তিনি। অন্যদিকে এই বিষয়ে তৃণমূল নেতা তথা বিশিষ্ট সমাজসেবী প্রসেনজিৎ ঘোষ জানান, এলাকাবাসীদের দাবি মত লাইটের ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে। এলাকাবাসীদের দীর্ঘদিনের দাবি ছিল এটি। গ্রামবাসীদের পাশে দাঁড়াতে পেড়ে তিনি নিজেকে গর্বিত মনে করেন।

As a result, the villagers had to face many problems. Finally, trinamool leader and prominent social worker Prasenjit Ghosh came forward to fulfill their demands. At his initiative, 24 lights were arranged across the area for the memory of his father Celestial Ramachandra Ghosh. It was officially inaugurated on Wednesday. In this regard, Malda Zilla Parishad Education Officer Pratibha Singh said that this initiative is really commendable. Not just money, it requires a liberal mindset. He appreciated prasenjit ghosh’s initiative to come forward to solve the long standing problems of the residents. On the other hand, Trinamool leader and prominent social worker Prasenjit Ghosh said that the lighting has been arranged as demanded by the residents. This has been a long-standing demand of the residents. He feels proud to stand beside the villagers.
