Malda: দুদিন ব্যাপী আয়োজন করা হল বিশিষ্ট সমাজসেবী স্বর্গীয় রাম ঘোষ ফুটবল চ্যাম্পিয়ন ট্রফির। শনিবার রাত্রে মালদা শহরের দুই নম্বর গভমেন্ট কলোনির মাঠে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে উদ্বোধন করা হয় দুদিন ব্যাপী এই ফুটবল টুর্নামেন্টের। উপস্থিত ছিলেন ইংলিশ বাজার পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির সভাপতি লিপিকা বর্মন ঘোষ, মালদা জেলা পরিষদের কর্মাধ্যক্ষ প্রতিভা সিং, ইংলিশ বাজার পৌরসভার চার নম্বর ওয়ার্ডের কাউন্সিলর অশোক শাহা সহ অন্যান্যরা। জানা গেছে দুদিন ব্যাপী এই ফুটবল টুর্নামেন্টে মোট ১৬ টি দল অংশ নিয়েছে। রবিবার রাত্রে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে তার চূড়ান্ত পর্যায়ের খেলা। জানা গেছে বিশিষ্ট সমাজসেবী স্বর্গীয় রামচন্দ্র ঘোষের স্মৃতির উদ্দেশ্যে প্রতি বছরই এই খেলার আয়োজন করে থাকেন তার ছেলে তথা তৃণমূল নেতা প্রসেনজিৎ ঘোষ। তারই অঙ্গ হিসাবে এবছরও তার উদ্যোগে এবং স্থানীয় ক্লাবের সহযোগিতায় দুদিন ব্যাপী এই ফুটবল টুর্নামেন্টের আয়োজন করা হয়েছে। পতাকা উত্তোলন, আকাশে বেলুন এবং আতশবাজির মধ্যে দিয়ে দুদিন ব্যাপী আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে উদ্বোধন করা হয় এই ফুটবল টুর্নামেন্টের। প্রথম দিনই দর্শকদের উপস্থিতি ছিল চোখে পড়ার মতো।
