মালদা, ১০ আগস্ট। আন্তরাজ্য অপহরণ চক্রের তিন পান্ডাকে গ্রেপ্তার করলো মালদা পুলিশ। সম্প্রতি মুর্শিদাবাদ পুলিশের সহযোগিতা নিয়ে অপহৃত হয়ে থাকা এক কাপড় ব্যবসায়ীকে উদ্ধার করে কালিয়াচক থানার পুলিশ। এই ঘটনায় তিন কুখ্যাত অপহরণকারীদের কাছ থেকে পুলিশ বেশ কিছু তথ্য জানতে পেরেছে। ধৃতেরা দীর্ঘদিন ধরেই অপহরণ চক্রের কারবারের সঙ্গে যুক্ত ছিল । বিভিন্ন জেলায় তাদের নেটওয়ার্ক বিস্তারও করেছে বলে জানতে পেরেছে পুলিশ। এই কাজে বিভিন্ন এলাকার কিছু যুবকদের ক্যারিয়ার হিসেবে ব্যবহার করেছিল ধৃত অপহরণকারীরা। তাদের মাধ্যমেই এলাকায় পুঁজিপতিদের খোঁজখবর নিয়েই অপহরণ করার মাস্টার প্ল্যান কষতো ধৃতেরা।
পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, ধৃতদের নাম মাসুদ আলম , আজিজ শেখ, দুলাল শেখ। এদের বাড়ি মুর্শিদাবাদের ওমরপুরে।
পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে, কালিয়াচক থানার ফতেখানি এলাকার বাসিন্দা মহম্মদ রহিম বিশ্বাস এলাকার একজন প্রভাবশালী কাপড় ব্যবসায়ী হিসাবে পরিচিত । তার দোকান রয়েছে কালিয়াচকের জালালপুর স্ট্যান্ডে । গত ২৯ জুন রাতে কাজ থেকে বাড়ি ফেরার সময় জাতীয় সড়ক থেকেই ওই কাপড় ব্যবসায়ীকে গাড়ি করে তুলে নিয়ে যায় ছয়জনের সশস্ত্র দুষ্কৃতির দল। এরপর ওই ব্যবসায়ী পরিবারকে ৬০ লক্ষ টাকা মুক্তিপণ হিসাবে দাবি করা হয়। কিন্তু থেমে থাকেনি পুলিশ। ওই ব্যবসায়ীর অপহরণের ঘটনার অভিযোগ পেতেই মোবাইলের সূত্র ধরে শুরু হয় তদন্ত। মাত্র দশ ঘণ্টার ব্যবধানে পরের দিন মুর্শিদাবাদে সুতি এলাকার টোলপ্লাজা এলাকায় একটি চার চাকার গাড়ির ধাওয়া করে অপহরণকারীদের ধরে ফেলে কালিয়াচক থানার পুলিশ। সেই সময় গাড়িতে থাকা ছয় জন দুষ্কৃতির মধ্যে তিনজন পালিয়ে যায় বলে অভিযোগ। আর বাকি তিনজনকে ধরে ফেলে পুলিশ। সেই সময় উদ্ধার হয় ওই কাপড় ব্যবসায়ী । তাকে বন্দুকের বাঁট দিয়ে অপহরণকারীরা ব্যাপক মারধর করে বলে অভিযোগ।
এই ঘটনার পর ওই ব্যবসায়ীর পরিবার পুলিশের এই কাজকে সাধুবাদ জানিয়েছে। ব্যবসায়ী মহম্মদ রহিম বিশ্বাস বলেন, যারা আমাকে অপহরণ করেছিল তাদের কয়েকজনকে আমি চিনতে পারে নি। এরপর ধৃতদের দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তির দাবি জানিয়ে মঙ্গলবার পুলিশ সুপারের কাছে নতুন করে অভিযোগ দায়ের করেছি। কালিয়াচক থানার পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে, ধৃত তিন অপহরণকারীর নাম মাসুদ আলম , আজিজ শেখ, দুলাল শেখ। এদের বাড়ি ওমরপুর এলাকায়। প্রাথমিক তদন্তে এরা অপহরণ চক্রের বড় একটি রেকেটের সঙ্গে যুক্ত থাকার কথা স্বীকার করেছে। বিভিন্ন এলাকায় এরা দলও সংগঠিত করেছে। অপহরণ কারবারের ধৃতেদের সঙ্গে বিভিন্ন রাজ্যের অপরাধ জগতের যোগাযোগ রয়েছে বলেও জানা গিয়েছে। পুলিশি জেরার মুখে ধৃতেরা বেশ কিছু চাঞ্চল্যকর তথ্য দিয়েছে, যা নিয়ে তদন্ত চলছে।

Through them, the accused used to make a master plan to abduct the capitalists in the area.
The arrestees have been identified as Masud Alam, Aziz Sheikh and Dulal Sheikh. Their home is in Omarpur in Murshidabad. Mohammad Rahim Biswas, a resident of Fatekhani area of Kaliachak police station, is known to be an influential cloth merchant in the area. His shop is located at Jalalpur stand in Kaliachak. On June 29, a group of six armed miscreants picked up the cloth merchant from the national highway while he was returning home from work. The businessman’s family was then demanded rs 60 lakh as ransom. But the police didn’t stop. After receiving the complaint of the kidnapping of the businessman, the investigation started with the help of mobile. In a span of just 10 hours, the police of Kaliachak police station caught the abductors after chasing a four-wheeler in the toll plaza area of Suti area of Murshidabad the next day. Three of the six miscreants who were in the car at that time allegedly fled. The other three were arrested by the police. At that time, the cloth merchant was rescued. He was allegedly beaten up by the abductors with a gun butt.
After the incident, the businessman’s family hailed the police’s action. Mohammad Rahim Biswas, a businessman, said, “I did not recognize some of those who abducted me. We then lodged a fresh complaint with the superintendent of police on Tuesday demanding exemplary punishment for the arrested persons. According to kaliachak police, the three abductors have been identified as Masud Alam, Aziz Sheikh and Dulal Sheikh. Their house is in Omarpur area. In the initial investigation, they have confessed to being involved in a big racket of kidnapping gang. They have also organized groups in different areas. It is also known that the accused in the kidnapping business have links with the criminal world of different states. During the interrogation of the police, the accused have given some sensational information, which is being investigated.
