ইন্দ্রজিৎ আইচ: স্বাধীনতার ৭৫ তম বর্ষপূর্তির অনুষ্ঠান যথাযোগ্য মর্যাদায় পালন করা হলো নিউ টাউন বিডি ব্লকে। এদিন ভারতের জাতীয় পতাকা উত্তোলন করলেন বিডি ব্লকের সভাপতি রথীন চক্রবর্তী। বক্তব্য রাখেন বিডি ব্লক কমিটির সদস্য …। স্বাধীনতা দিবসের পূণ্যলগ্নে এরপর নিউ টাউন বিডি ব্লকের আবাসিকদের আসন্ন দুর্গাপুজোর খুঁটি পুজো সম্পন্ন হলো । ব্লকের মহিলা-পুরুষের পাশাপাশি খুদে সদস্যরা ও পুজোর যোগাড় করেন। পুরোহিতের মন্ত্রোচ্চারণ আর শঙ্খধ্বনির মাধ্যমে বিডি ব্লকের সপ্তম বর্ষ দুর্গাপুজোর ঢাকে কাঠি পড়ল। পুজো কমিটির সম্পাদক নয়ন ব্যানার্জি জানান আধুনিকতা ও ঐতিহ্যের সাথে প্রতি বছর আমাদের বিডি ব্লকের পুজো অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

Indrajit Aich: The 75th anniversary celebrations of independence were celebrated with due respect at The New Town BD Block. BD Block President Rathin Chakraborty hoisted the National Flag of India. BD Block Committee member also spoke on the occasion. On the occasion of Independence Day, the upcoming Durga Puja of the residents of New Town BD Block was completed. Along with the men and women of the block, the members of the khude also arranged for the puja. The priest’s chanting of mantras and conch shells covered the seventh year of Durga Puja in BD Block. Nayan Banerjee, secretary of the puja committee, said, “With modernity and tradition, the puja of our BD block is held every year.
