মালদা: জাতীয় পতাকা অবমাননার অভিযোগ। প্রতিবাদে রাস্তা অবরোধ করে বিক্ষোভ গ্রামবাসীদের। দীর্ঘ নয় ঘণ্টা পর মালদা জেলা বিজেপির সাধারণ সম্পাদক বিশ্বজিৎ রায়ের হস্তক্ষেপে উঠল অবরোধ। তবে দোষীদের রাতের মধ্যে গ্রেপ্তার না করা হলে বুধবার সকালে এবারে মালদা ৩৪ নম্বর জাতীয় সড়ক অবরুদ্ধ করার হুঁশিয়ার বিজেপি নেতা বিশ্বজিৎ রায়ের। উল্লেখ্য সোমবার স্বাধীনতা দিবস উপলক্ষে, জাতীয় পতাকা নিয়ে মিছিল করার সময় পতাকা পুড়িয়ে দেওয়ার অভিযোগ ওঠেছিল। ঘটনাটি ঘটেছিল কাজী গ্রাম এলাকায়। এই ঘটনার প্রতিবাদ জানিয়ে মঙ্গলবার সকাল ১১ টা থেকে মালদা মানিকচক রাজ্য সড়কের ঘোরা পীর মোড়ে রাস্তা অবরোধ করেন কাজী গ্রাম রামচন্দ্রপুর এবং ঘোড়া পীরের বাসিন্দারা। দীর্ঘ পায় নয় ঘন্টা রাস্তা অবরোধ থাকার পর রাত আটটা নাগাদ বিজেপির সাধারণ সম্পাদক বিশ্বজিৎ রায়ের হস্তক্ষেপে উঠে যায় অবরোধ। বিজেপি নেতা বিশ্বজিৎ রায় জানান পুলিশ অস্বস্ত করেছে দোষীদের গ্রেফতার করা হবে। যদি না করা হয় বুধবার সকালে আবারো গ্রামবাসীদের সাথে নিয়ে ৩৪ নম্বর জাতীয় সড়ক অবরোধ করা হবে।

BJP leader Biswajit Roy said the police had assured that the culprits would be arrested. If not, national highway 34 will be blocked again on Wednesday morning along with the villagers.
