ইন্দ্রজিৎ আইচঃ বাংলা থিয়েটারের ইতিহাসে তিনি এক ও অনন্য, তিনি প্রবাদ প্রতিম নাট্যকার, নির্দেশক ও অভিনেতা শিশির কুমার ভাদুরী। তাকে নিয়ে, তার জীবন নিয়ে এবং ৫০/৬০ বা ৭০-এর দশকের সেই সময়ের তার নাটকের বিষয় নিয়ে ছবি করতে চলেছেন বিখ্যাত পরিচালক রেশমী মিত্র। সম্প্রতি বই পাশের জে ডব্লিউ মেরিওট হোটেলে এক সাংবাদিক সম্মেলনে এই ছবির পরিচালক রেশমী মিত্র জানালেন ছবির নাম হল “বড় বাবু”। এই বড় বাবু চরিত্রটা করবেন বার্ত্য বসু। সেই রকম কথা চলছে। তার মা এর চরিত্রটা করবেন শ্রীলা মজুমদার। কঙ্কাবতি করবেন পায়েল সরকার। রবীন্দ্রনাথ করবেন পরান বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। তারাদাস এবং প্রবদ অধিকারী এই দুটি চরিত্র করবেন ভাস্বর চট্টোপাধ্যায় এবং বিশ্বনাথ বসু। এই ছবির মিউজিক করছেন বিক্রম ঘোষ। ছবিটি তৈরি হবে ধানস প্রোডাকশনের ব্যানারে। সুমন ভট্টাচার্য এই ছবিটির প্রযোজক। রেশমী মিত্র আরো জানালেন আমি থিয়েটার পরিবারে বড় হয়েছি। দক্ষিণ কলকাতার নিভা আর্টস আমাদের। তপন থিয়েটার হলে এক সময় বহু নামি মানুষ নাটক করে গেছেন। তাদের কাছ থেকে দেখা, তাদের নাটক দেখতে দেখতে বড় হয়েছি। অনেকদিনের ইচ্ছে ছিলো শিশির ভাদুরীকে নিয়ে ছবি করবো। আমার সেই বাসনা পূর্ণ হতে চলেছে। শুটিং শুরু হবে খুব তাড়াতাড়ি। এটা আমার ১১ নম্বর ছবি। সংগীত পরিচালক বিক্রম ঘোষ জানালেন শিশির ভাদুরীকে নিয়ে ছবি এবং সেই সময়ের নাটকের গান ও তাতে ক্লাসিকাল এর ছোঁয়া এটা একটা আমার জীবনের ইউনিক কাজ হবে। পুরো ছবিটা শেষ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত কি মিউজিক বা গান থাকবে এই মুহূর্তে তা বলা যাবে না। সাংবাদিক সম্মেলনে উপস্থিত ছিলেন পায়েল সরকার, বিক্রম ঘোষ, শ্রীলা মজুমদার, মুস্তাক আলম, সুমন ভট্টাচার্য সহ আরো অনেকে।

The film will be produced under the banner of Dhanas Productions. Suman Bhattacharya is the producer of the film. Reshmi Mitra also said, “I grew up in a theatre family. The Niva Arts in south Kolkata is ours. At one time, many people played in the Tapan Theatre Hall. I grew up watching them, watching them play. For a long time, I wanted to do a film with Shishir Bhaduri. My wish is going to be fulfilled. The shooting will begin very soon. This is my 11th picture. Music director Bickram Ghosh said that the film about Shishir Bhaduri and the songs of the plays of that time and the touch of classical in it will be a unique work of my life. It is not possible to say at the moment what music or songs will remain until the whole film is over.
