মালদা: অবশেষে মুখ্য স্বাস্থ্য আধিকারিকের আশ্বাসে কর্ম বিরতি থেকে পিছু হটে আসল সাফাই কর্মীরা। শনিবার নর্থ বেঙ্গল বাঁশফোর এন্ড হরিজন ওয়েলফেয়ার অর্গানাইজেশনের সদস্যরা ঝলঝলিয়া এলাকায় মুখ্য স্বাস্থ্য আধিকারিক পাপড়ি নায়েকের সাথে দেখা করে এই আশ্বাস পেয়ে কর্মবিরতি প্রত্যাহার করেন তারা। উল্লেখ্য গত সোমবার থেকে বকেয়া বেতনের দাবিতে মালদা জেলার মৌলপুর গ্রামীণ হাসপাতাল, হরিশ্চন্দ্রপুর গ্রামীণ হাসপাতাল সহ জেলার ১৩ টি হাসপাতালের ৪৪ জন সাফাই কর্মী কর্ম বিরতিতে সামিল হয়েছিলেন। প্রায় পাঁচ দিন কর্ম বিরতির পর সমস্যা সমাধানের জন্য সাফাই কর্মী সংগঠনের সদস্যদের সাথে আলোচনা করেন মুখ্য স্বাস্থ্য আধিকারিক পাপড়ি নায়েক। জানা গেছে, এই দিনেই আলোচনায় আগামী ১০ দিনের মধ্যে বকেয়া বেতন প্রদানের আশ্বাস দিয়েছেন জেলা মুখ্য স্বাস্থ্য আধিকারিক।
Malda: Finally, on the assurance of the Chief Health Officer, the real sanitation workers withdrew from the work break. On Saturday, members of the North Bengal Bansfor and Harijan Welfare Organisation met chief health officer Papdi Naik in Jhaljhalia area and called off the strike after getting the assurance. As many as 44 sanitation workers from 13 hospitals in the district, including Moulpur Rural Hospital and Harishchandrapur Rural Hospital in Malda district, had gone on a strike since Monday to demand arrears of salaries. After a five-day work break, Chief Health Officer Papdi Naik held discussions with the members of the Safai Karamchari Sanghatana to resolve the issue. It is learned that on this day, the district chief health officer has assured to pay the arrears within the next 10 days.
