গোপাল বিশ্বাস , নদীয়া। ২০শে সেপ্টেম্বর ২২, নবদ্বীপ বাংলা ভাষার শিক্ষক নিয়োগের দাবীতে ২০১৮ সালে ২০ সেপ্টেম্বর দিনহাটার দাড়িভিট স্কুল প্রাঙ্গণে ছাত্রদের বাংলা ভাষার শিক্ষক নিয়োগের দাবীতে আন্দোলনের ওপর মমতা ব্যানার্জির সরকারের পুলিশের গুলিতে নিহত দুই ছাত্রর মৃত্যুতে সেদিন উত্তাল হয়েছিল গোটা পশ্চিমবাংলা। আজ সন্ধ্যায় তাদের স্মরণে নদীয়ার নবদ্বীপ শহরের প্রাচীন মায়াপুর নিমতলা মোড়ে অখিল ভারতীয় বিদ্যার্থী পরিষদ ( ABVP)এর আয়োজনে অনুষ্ঠিত হল স্মরণ অনুষ্ঠান। এদিনের এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ABVP-র নবদ্বীপ শহর মন্ডলের বিভিন্ন কর্মী সমর্থক ও নেতৃবৃন্দ। বিভিন্ন বক্তা বলেন পশ্চিমবঙ্গে দাড়িভিট স্কুলে বাংলা ভাষায় শিক্ষক না থাকার কারণে স্কুলে শিক্ষক নিয়োগ করেন ঊর্দূ ভাষার। এরই প্রতিবাদে সেদিন ওই স্কুলের ছাত্ররা আন্দোলন করতে গেলে সেদিন পুলিশের গুলিতে নিহত হয়।

On September 20, 2018, the death of two students who were killed in police firing by the Mamata Banerjee government on the premises of Daribhit School in Dinhata on September 20, 2018, demanding the appointment of teachers of Bengali language in Nabadwip. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) organised a commemorative programme in their memory at the ancient Mayapur Nimtala intersection in Nabadwip town of Nadia this evening. Various activists, supporters and leaders of ABVP’s Nabadwip Shahar Mandal were present on the occasion. Various speakers said that due to the absence of teachers in Bengali language in Darivit school in West Bengal, the teachers of Urdu language were appointed in the school. In protest, the students of the school were shot dead by the police that day when they went to protest.
