INDRAJIT AICH: *Kolkata, 21 September 2022:* Punjabiyat restaurant opened its doors for the first time in Kolkata with a range of unparalleled varieties of unpartitioned Punjab on 21st September 2022, Wednesday. The grand launch was graced by renowned Bengali television actors, Tiyasha Roy & Rajiv Bose along with Indian cricketer, Sambaran Banerjee and Indian Riffle Shooter, Joydeep Karmakar. The theme of the restaurant revolves around the mouthwatering dishes from the age-old recipes of unpartitioned Punjab, which includes Lahori Chapli Kabab to the Royal Moti Biryani and many more, all under a decent budget. The restaurant holds a huge seating capacity of 100 pax under one roof. The décor of the place carries an essence of Punjab, dated back to the pre-independent era and the little detailings related to it.
Speaking on this occasion, Jayeeta Das, the Founder of Punjabiyat, said, “Bengal has always welcomed all kinds of food with open hands, so thats exactly what encouraged me to venture out into something like this. I am sure people will love our food and find it absolutely pocket friendly”.
