• এক্সাইড, তার CSR-এর অংশ হিসাবে, প্রায় 5 কোটি টাকা খরচ করে যানজট এবং পথচারীদের নিরাপত্তার কথা মাথায় রেখে একটি ব্যস্ত মোড়ে এই ফুট ওভার ব্রিজটি তৈরি করেছে এবং এক্সাইড আগামী 30 বছরের জন্য এটি রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ করবে ৷
• এই ফুট ওভার ব্রিজটি সিটি অফ জয়কে এক্সাইডের দুর্গা পূজার উপহার।সিটির মেয়র জনাব ফিরহাদ হাকিম শনিবার কলকাতার নাগরিকদের জন্য এক্সাইড ক্রসিং নামে পরিচিত ব্যস্ত চৌরঙ্গী-এজেসি বোস রোড মোড়ে একটি ফুট ওভারব্রিজের উদ্বোধন করেছেন। এক্সাইড হেড অফিসের কাছে এই ওভার ব্রিজ নির্মাণের ফলে ক্রসিংয়ের কাছাকাছি যানজট নিরসন এবং পথচারীদের নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করা হবে, যারা প্রতিদিন ব্যস্ত মোড় ব্যবহার করেন।

42 মিটার দীর্ঘ ফুট ওভার ব্রিজটি এক্সাইডের একটি সামাজিক উদ্যোগ, যাতে এক্সাইড প্রায় 5 কোটি টাকা স্পনসর করেছে। আশুতোষ মুখার্জি রোডের দুই পাশে বিস্তৃত ব্রিজটি শহর-ভিত্তিক ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং কোম্পানি টিটাগড় ওয়াগনস লিমিটেড দ্বারা জনগণের সুবিধার জন্য নির্মাণ করা হয়েছে। ওভার ব্রিজে একটি এসকেলেটর এবং সেতুর প্রতিটি পাশে একটি সাধারণ সিঁড়ি রয়েছে। এটি এক্সাইড ইন্ডাস্ট্রিজ লিমিটেড পরবর্তী 30 বছরের জন্য রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ করবে।
Mayor Firhad Hakim inaugurated the Exide Crossing Foot Over Bridge on Saturday, September 24, 2022.
• Exide, as part of its CSR, has built this foot over bridge at a busy intersection at a cost of around Rs 5 crore keeping in mind the traffic congestion and pedestrian safety and Exide will maintain it for the next 30 years.
• This foot over bridge is the Durga Puja gift of Exide to the City of Joy. City Mayor Firhad Hakim on Saturday inaugurated a foot overbridge at the busy Chowringhee-AJC Bose Road intersection known as Exide Crossing for the citizens of Kolkata. The construction of this overbridge near the Exide head office will ease traffic congestion near the crossing and ensure the safety of pedestrians, who use busy intersections every day. In the presence of Mr. Subir Chakraborty, MD and CEO, Exide, along with other government dignitaries, KMC President Smt. Mala Roy was also present at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Chakraborty said that we should understand our duty and responsibility to do something for the citizens. And especially for this intersection that is part of our identity. “We are hopeful that pedestrians, especially the elderly and school-going children who come here every day, will now use it,” he added. It is a safe and easy way to reach to cross the intersection of busy roads. The administration will also cooperate to facilitate this. On our behalf, in the diamond jubilee year, it is a Durga Puja gift to the city of Kolkata City of Joy. ” The 42-metre-long foot over bridge is a social initiative of Exide, in which Exide has sponsored around Rs 5 crore. The bridge, which extends on both sides of The Ashutosh Mukherjee Road, has been constructed by city-based engineering company Titagarh Wagons Limited for the benefit of the public. The overbridge has an escalator and a common staircase on each side of the bridge. It will be maintained by Exide Industries Limited for the next 30 years.
