তমলুক: সোমবার নবজাগরণের অন্যতম পথিকৃৎ পার্থিব মানবতাবাদী ঈশ্বরচন্দ্র বিদ্যাসাগরের ২০৩তম জন্ম দিবসে তাঁর প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়ে বঙ্গীয় প্রাথমিক শিক্ষক সমিতির আহ্বানে রাজ্যজুড়ে শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকাগণ বাড়িতে বাড়িতে শ্রদ্ধা জ্ঞাপনে সামিল হয়েছেন। উল্লেখের বিষয়, আজ থেকে দুই শতাব্দী আগে বিদ্যাসাগর সামন্ততান্ত্রিক কূপমন্ডুকতা, কুসংস্কারে আবদ্ধ যুক্তিহীন মানসিকতার দাসত্ব- শৃঙ্খল থেকে মানুষকে সমাজকে মুক্ত করতে চেয়েছিলেন। তাই নবজাগরণের স্বাতন্ত্র, যুক্তিবিজ্ঞান কেন্দ্রিক চিন্তাভাবনাকে, শিক্ষা-সংস্কৃতি-নীতি-নৈতিকতাকে দৃঢ়ভাবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করার সংগ্রামে তিনি আজীবন আপোষহীন লড়াই করে গেছেন। নারীশিক্ষা, বিধবা বিবাহ প্রচলন, বহু বিবাহ বন্ধ সহ নানান ক্ষেত্রে জীবনকে বাজি রেখে এককভাবে লড়াই করে গেছেন। তাঁর কথায় – “যে ব্যক্তি যে দেশে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন সে দেশের হিতসাধনে সাধ্যানুসারে সচেষ্ট ও যত্নবান হওয়া তাহার পরম ধর্ম ও তাহার জীবনের সর্বপ্রধান কর্ম। ” সমিতির রাজ্য সম্পাদকমণ্ডলীর সদস্য সতীশ সাউ বলেন “বর্তমানে মূল্যবোধের সংকটের সময়ে ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের চরিত্র গড়ে তোলার সহায়ক হিসেবে বিদ্যাসাগরের জীবন সংগ্রামের নানান দিক এবং বর্ণপরিচয়, বোধোদয়, কথামালা ইত্যাদি পুস্তকের অংশবিশেষ সংকলিত করে পাঠ্যসূচীর অন্তর্ভুক্ত করা অত্যন্ত জরুরী। এর মধ্য দিয়েই তাঁকে যথার্থ শ্রদ্ধা জানানো হবে।”
বর্তমান শিক্ষক নিয়োগ দুর্নীতিকে কেন্দ্র করে যে নেক্কারজনক ঘটনাবলী ক্রমাগত প্রকাশিত হচ্ছে সেক্ষেত্রে নবজাগরণের আন্দোলন ,স্বাধীনতা আন্দোলনে এরাজ্যের গৌরবকে ভুলুন্ঠিত করছে। শিক্ষানুরাগী শুভবুদ্ধি সম্পন্ন ব্যক্তিমাত্রেই এর প্রতিবাদে সামিল হওয়া দরকার। তমলুক শহরের রাজবাড়ী সংলগ্ন এলাকায় ঘরোয়া অনুষ্ঠানে সমিতির রাজ্য নেতৃত্ব সতীশ সাউ, জেলা কমিটির সদস্য স্বপন কুমার মন্ডল, মৌমিতা প্রামানিক বর্ষিয়ান নাগরিক রতন কুমার প্রামানিক, সরমা প্রামাণিক, শিক্ষক রামকৃষ্ণ মাইতি, ছাত্র অভিরূপ সাউ সহ অন্যান্যরা উপস্থিত ছিলেন ।
