মালদা: তৃণমূল কর্মাধ্যক্ষের বিরুদ্ধে সরকারি গাছ কাটার অভিযোগ। ইংলিশ বাজার ব্লকের যদুপুর দুই নম্বর গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের শিল্প ও পরিকাঠামো কর্মাধ্যক্ষ নুরুল সেখের বিরুদ্ধে রাস্তার ধারে থাকা একটি সরকারি আম গাছ কাটার অভিযোগ উঠেছে। যদিও এই অভিযোগ ভিত্তিহীন বলে দাবি করেছেন তিনি। উল্লেখ্য যদুপুর দুই নম্বর গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের বুরুজ পাড়ায় রাস্তার ধারে ওই তৃণমূল নেতার বাড়ি থেকে ঢিল ছোড়া দূরত্বে একটি আম গাছ ছিল। অভিযোগ সেই আমগাছ দলবল নিয়ে বৃহস্পতিবার সকালে কেটে ফেলে ওই তৃণমূল সদস্য। বিষয়টি জানাজানি হতেই খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে ইংলিশ বাজার থানার পুলিশ। অভিযোগ উঠেছে সরকারি এই আম গাছ প্রকাশ্য দিবালোকে কেটে ফেলা হলেও সরকারি কোনো নির্দেশিকা ছিল না। এমনকি স্থানীয় গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েত কর্তৃপক্ষকে এই বিষয়ে জানানো হয়নি। এই বিষয়ে তৃণমূল নেতা তথা যদুপুর দুই দুই নম্বর গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের শিল্প ও পরিকাঠামো কর্মাধ্যক্ষ নুরুল শেখ ক্যামেরার সামনে কিছু না বললেও মৌখিক ভাবে জানান, গাছটি ভেঙে পড়ছিল। অনেক গ্রামবাসী আহত হয়েছেন। তাই গ্রামবাসীরা উদ্যোগ নিয়ে আজ সকালে গাছটি কাটে ফেলে। এদিকে প্রকাশ্য দিবালোকে সরকারি আম গাছ কেটে ফেলাকে নিয়ে একাধিক প্রশ্ন উঠতে শুরু করেছে। প্রশ্ন উঠছে এই সরকারি গাছটি অনেকদিন ধরেই এই অবস্থায় ছিল। তাহলে আগে থেকে বিষয়টি গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েত কিংবা ব্লক স্তরে জানানো হয়নি কেন। হঠাৎ করে কেন গাছটি আজ কাটা হল। যদিও পুরো ঘটনার তদন্ত শুরু হয়েছে।
