গোপাল বিশ্বাস, নদীয়া-ঃ সকলে যখন মাকে বিদায় জানতে ব্যাস্ত তখন দশমীর রাতে নদীয়ার নবদ্বীপ শহরের প্রাচীন মায়াপুর ২১ নং ওয়ার্ড রাজবংশী পাড়া এলাকায় আগুনে ভস্মীভূত বসত বাড়ি। ভীটে ছাড়া পুড়ে ছাই সব কিছু। স্থানীয়রা জানায় আনুমানিক রাত ১০.৩০ নাগাদ এলাকার সিদাম রাজবংশীর বারিথেকে ধোয়া বেড়োতে দেখে, সকলে ছুটে এসে দেখে ঘরে আগুন লেগেছে। প্রতিবেশী সকলে মিলে আগুন নেভানোর চেষ্টা করে, প্রতিবেশীরা আরও জানায় তখন বাড়ির মালিক কেউ ছিলনা, প্রতিবেশীরা আগুন নেভানোর পাশাপাশি খবর দেয় নবদ্বীপ থানার পুলিশ ও নবদ্বীপ দমকল বাহিনীকে। খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে যায় নবদ্বীপ থানার পুলিশ ও দমকলের আধিকারিকরা। সিদাম রাজবংশীর স্ত্রী সবিতা রাজবংশী জানান এদিন রান্না শেষ করে বিকেলে কাঠের উনোনে কিছু কাঠ শুকোবার জন্য রেখে আত্মীয়ের বাড়ি যান। পরে স্থানীয়রা তাকে খবর দপয় তার ঘরে আগুন লেগেছে, এসে দেখেন সব পুরে ছাই,সামগ্রিক ঘটনায় সাময়িক চাঞ্চল্য ছড়ায় এলাকায়। তবে সময় মতো স্থানীয়রা এসে আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণ না করলে ভয়াবহ রূপ নিতে পারতো, বলেই মত স্থানীয়দের। সামগ্রিক ঘটনার তদন্তে স্থানীয় পুলিশ প্রশাসন।

Later, the locals informed him that his house was on fire, and saw the ashes in all the houses, the overall incident caused a temporary sensation in the area. However, if the locals did not come on time and control the fire, it could have taken a terrible form, according to the locals. The local police administration is investigating the overall incident.
