মালদা-ছিনতাইয়ে বাধা দেওয়ায় আক্রান্ত দুই গাড়ি চালক। বাধা দিতে গেলেই দুইজনকে ধারালো অস্ত্র দিয়ে কুপিয়ে খুনের চেষ্টা অভিযোগ দুষ্কৃতীদের বিরুদ্ধে। চাঞ্চল্যকর ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে শনিবার গভীর রাতে পুরাতন মালদা থানার বাইপাস সংলগ্ন এলাকায়। আক্রান্ত হলেন এজাজুল হক বয়স(৩০) বছর। বাড়ি কলকাতার আমডাঙ্গা থানা এলাকায়। আরেকজন হলেন সাবির আলী বয়স(৩৫)বছর। তার বাড়ি অশোকনগর এলাকায়।
স্থানীয় ও পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা যায় গত বৃহস্পতিবার দিন উড়িষ্যা থেকে ইলিশ মাছ লোড করে নিয়ে গিয়েছিল কোচবিহারে। কোচবিহারে মাছ খালি করে বাড়ি ফিরছিলেন দুইজনে গাড়িতে করে। ফেরার পথে শনিবার গভীর রাতে মালদা বাইপাস সংলগ্ন এলাকায় চার-পাঁচজন দুষ্কৃতির মুখ ঢাকা অবস্থায় প্রথমে তাদের গাড়িতে ইট পাটকাল ছুড়ে। ভয়ে গাড়ি থামিয়ে দেয় গাড়ি চালক। এরপর মুখ ঢাকা অবস্থায় দুষ্কৃতীরা এসে গাড়ি চালকের কাছে টাকা ছিনতাই চেষ্টা করে। বাধা দিতে গেলে দুইজনকে ধারালো অস্ত্র দিয়ে কোপ মারে। কোনক্রমে সাবির আলী সেখান থেকে পালিয়ে কিছুটা দূরে গিয়ে চিৎকার শুরু করে। এরপর দুষ্কৃতীরা এজাজুল কে ধারালো অস্ত্র দিয়ে এলোপাতাড়ি কোপ মেরে সেখান থেকে পালিয়ে যায়। তবে তাদের কাছ থেকে কোনরকম টাকা পয়সা ছিনতাই করতে পারেনি দুষ্কৃতিরা।
আহত গাড়িচালক সাবির আলী জানান চার পাঁচ জন তাদের গাড়ি লক্ষ্য করে প্রথমে ইট পাথর ছুড়ে তারপরে মারধর শুরু করে এরপর ধারালো অস্ত্র দিয়ে কোপ মারে আমরা দুজনকে। তাদের হাতে ধারালো অস্ত্র সহ আগ্নেয়াস্ত্র ছিল এমনটা জানাচ্ছেন গাড়িচালক। এরপর আমরা ঘটনাস্থল থেকে গাড়ি নিয়ে চিকিৎসার জন্য মালদা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে আসি। বর্তমানে দুজনই চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় রয়েছি মালদা মেডিকেলে। ঘটনার খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে যায় পুরাতন মালদা থানার পুলিশ। তবে এখনো পর্যন্ত দুষ্কৃতীদের চিহ্নিত করতে পারিনি পুলিশ। ঘটনা তদন্ত শুরু করেছে পুরাতন মালদা থানা পুলিশ।
Two drivers were attacked for obstructing the malda-robbery. The miscreants have been accused of trying to kill the two men with sharp weapons when they tried to stop them. The incident took place on Saturday night in the area adjacent to the bypass of old Malda police station. The victim was identified as Ejazul Haque, 30. The house is in Amdanga police station area of Kolkata. The other is Sabir Ali, 35. His house is in Ashoknagar area. According to local and police sources, hilsa fish were loaded from Odisha to Behar on Thursday. In Behar, the two were returning home after emptying the fish. On the way back, four to five miscreants, whose faces were covered in the area adjacent to malda bypass, first threw bricks at their car. The driver stopped the car in fear. Then the miscreants came with their faces covered and tried to rob the driver of the car. When he tried to stop them, he stabbed the two men with sharp weapons. Somehow, Sabir Ali ran away from there and started shouting. The miscreants then attacked Ejazul with sharp weapons and fled from there. However, the miscreants could not steal any money from them. Sabir Ali, the injured driver, said that four or five people targeted their car, first threw bricks and stones, then started beating them up and then beat them with sharp weapons. The driver said they were carrying firearms with sharp weapons. We then took a car from the spot and came to Malda Medical College Hospital for treatment. Both of them are currently undergoing treatment at Malda Medical College Hospital. On receiving the news of the incident, the old Malda police station went to the spot. However, the police have not been able to identify the miscreants so far. The old Malda police have started an investigation into the incident.
