সিকিমে দুর্ঘটনায় মৃত্যু হলো মালদার পর্যটকের। মৃত বছর ২৮ এর যুবক রাহুল সিংহ মালদা শহরের সানি পার্ক এলাকার বাসিন্দ । বাবা তপন সিংহ পেশায় পুলিশ কর্মী। রাহুল এবং তার তিন বন্ধু মোটরবাইকে চেপে সিকিমে বেড়াতে গিয়েছিল।
হঠাৎ দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে। গুরুতর আহত হয়ে যায় সে। এই অবস্থায় তাকে উদ্ধার করে প্রথমে স্থানীয় স্বাস্থ্য কেন্দ্রে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয় অবস্থা খারাপ হলে উত্তরবঙ্গ মেডিকেল কলেজে নিয়ে আসার পথেই তার মৃত্যু হয়। পাহাড় থেকে খাদে পড়ে যাওয়ার কারণে গুরুতর জখম হয়েছিল সে। তার বাকি আরো দুই বন্ধু আহত হয়ে উত্তরবঙ্গ মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন রয়েছে। এই ঘটনায় একমাত্র সন্তানকে হারিয়ে শোকস্তব্ধ পরিবার।

A tourist from Malda died in an accident in Sikkim. The deceased was identified as Rahul Singh, a 28-year-old man from Sunny Park area of Malda town. His father Tapan Singh is a policeman by profession. Rahul and his three friends had gone on a motorbike to visit Sikkim. Suddenly there was an accident. He was seriously injured. He was rescued and taken to a local health centre where he died on the way to North Bengal Medical College.
He was seriously injured after falling from the hill into a ditch. Two of his friends were injured and are undergoing treatment at North Bengal Medical College Hospital. The family is mourning the loss of their only child in the incident.
