নবদ্বীপে বিদ্যালয়ের  চুরির অভিযোগে তদন্তে নেমে  কয়েক ঘন্টার মধ্যে চুরি যাওয়া সামগ্রী উদ্ধার করে ফিরিয়ে দিল পুলিশ।

গোপাল বিশ্বাস-নদীয়া-ঃ নবদ্বীপ শহরের প্রাচীন মায়াপুর এলাকায় একটি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের মিড ডে মিল রান্না ঘরে, দরজার তালা ভেঙে রান্নার প্রয়োজনীয় বাসনপত্র চুরির ঘটনা ঘটে গত কয়েক দিন আগে। ঘটনার তদন্তে নেমে অভিযোগ পাওয়ার কয়েক ঘন্টার মধ্যে চুরি হয়ে যাওয়া সামগ্রী  উদ্ধার করল নবদ্বীপ থানার পুলিশ। পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা যায়, শনিবার সকালে নদীয়ার নবদ্বীপ প্রাচীন মায়াপুর সংলগ্ন জাতীয় বিদ্যালয় জিএসএফপি প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয় ভবনটি প্রতিদিনের মতো পরিষ্কার করতে এসে রান্নাঘরের দরজা ভাঙ্গা অবস্থায় দেখতে পান এক ব্যক্তি। পরে সম্পূর্ণ ঘটনাটি জানান সংশ্লিষ্ট বিদ্যালয়ের ভারপ্রাপ্ত প্রধান শিক্ষককে। খবর পেয়ে ওই শিক্ষক বিদ্যালয়ে পৌঁছে রান্নাঘরটির দরজা ভাঙ্গা অবস্থায় দেখতে পান এবং ঘরে থাকা রান্নার কাজে ব্যবহৃত যাবতীয় বাসনপত্র চুরি হয়ে গিয়েছে দেখে খবর দেন স্থানীয় থানায়। খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে তদন্ত শুরু করে নবদ্বীপ থানার পুলিশ। তদন্তে নেমে কয়েক ঘণ্টার মধ্যে চুরি হয়ে যাওয়া বেশ কিছু বাসন পত্র উদ্ধার করে পুলিশ। পাশাপাশি এই ঘটনার তদন্তে নেমে দুই ব্যক্তিকে গ্রেপ্তার বলে জানা গিয়েছে পুলিশ সূত্রে। তবে এখনো চুরি হয়ে যাওয়া বাকি সামগ্রী গুলির খোঁজে তদন্ত চালাচ্ছে পুলিশ। অভিযোগে জানানোর কয়েক ঘন্টার মধ্যে চুরি হয়ে যাওয়া সামগ্রী উদ্ধারের ঘটনায় নবদ্বীপ থানার পুলিশের ভূমিকা যথেষ্ট প্রশংসনীয় বলে মনে করছে বিভিন্ন মহল।

এদিন উদ্ধার হওয়া বিদ্যালয়ের সামগ্রী বিদ্যালয়ের হাতে তুলে দিল নবদ্বীপ থানার পুলিশ। পুলিশ এহেন উদ্যগে খুশি বিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষকও।
