ইন্দ্রজিৎ আইচঃ শ্যামনগর জাগৃতি আয়োজিত একাঙ্ক নাট্য উৎসবে সম্প্রতি শ্যামনগর রবীন্দ্র ভবনে গরিফা নাট্যায়ণ মঞ্চস্থ করলো তাদের এবছরের শ্রেষ্ঠ নাটক – “চেনা মানুষ”। রচয়িতা: শান্তনু মজুমদার এবং পরিচালক: দেবকুমার দাস। সামগ্রিক পরিকল্পনা: কনক মুখার্জী। নাটকটি ১৯৪৬ সালে তৎকালীন পূর্ব পাকিস্তানের নোয়াখালীর বাবুপুর গ্রামের ঘটে যাওয়া একটি সাম্প্রদায়িক দাঙ্গার জীবন্ত দলিল। সাম্প্রদায়িক দাঙ্গার উপর রচিত হলেও নাটকটি হিন্দু মুসলমানের মধ্যে সাম্প্রদায়িক সম্প্রীতির এক জীবন্ত দলিল।

একদিকে মুসলমানরা যখন শত শত হিন্দুদের হত্যা করছে তখন জামালের মতন মুসলমান ছেলেই তার দলবল নিয়ে গ্রামের অনেকে হিন্দুদের দাঙ্গাবাজদের চোখ এড়িয়ে নিরাপদ স্থানে পৌঁছে দিয়েছে। জামাল হিন্দু মুসলমানদের মধ্যে সম্প্রীতির মেলবন্ধন ঘটিয়েছে। নাটকটি সুঅভিনিত। সকল অভিনেতা অভিনেত্রীর অভিনয় সাবলীল। নাটকটির মঞ্চসজ্জা সকলের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষন করে। মঞ্চসজ্জা করেছেন সুকদেব চক্রবর্তী। নির্দেশকের নিপুণ নির্দেশনার গুনে নাটকটি উচ্চস্তরে পৌঁছে গেছে। বিভিন্ন চরিত্রে অভিনয় করেছেন দেবকুমার দাস, সুকদেব চক্রবর্তী, সুধীর ভুঁইমালী, প্রবীর দাস, রঞ্জিত সাহা, রাজু চক্রবর্ত্তী, শিপ্রা ঘোষ, ও বর্ষা দাস। আবহ: রমেশ অধিকারী ও প্রিতম দেবনাথ, আলো: সমীর কাঞ্জিলাল
