রবীন্দ্র সদনে সম্মানিত ‘আইনী সংবাদদাতা’

শুভ ঘোষের রিপোর্টঃ  রবীন্দ্র সদনে সম্মানিত ‘আইনী সংবাদদাতা’ মোল্লা জসিমউদ্দিন, জ্যোতিপ্রকাশ মুখার্জি, গত বুধবার বাংলার সাংস্কৃতিক পীঠস্থান রবীন্দ্র সদনে সম্মানিত হলেন ‘আইনী সংবাদদাতা’ মোল্লা জসিমউদ্দিন। বছর কুড়ি আগে শুরুটা হয়েছিল মফস্বল থেকে। সেই সময় রক্তাক্ত মঙ্গলকোটের বুকে, যেখানকার বাসিন্দারা বোমের শব্দ শুনে ঘুমাতে যেত এবং ঘুম থেকে উঠত, নির্ভিক সাংবাদিকতা করা ছিল রীতিমত কঠিন কাজ এবং এটা করতে গিয়ে বারবার সিপিএমের হার্মাদদের অত্যাচারের শিকার হতে হয়েছে তাকে। ক্ষতবিক্ষত হলেও দমে যাননি। থেমে থাকেনি কলম। তৃণমূল আমলেও পরিস্থিতির খুব একটা পরিবর্তন হয়নি। এরপর মফস্বল থেকে কলকাতা মহানগরীতে যাত্রা। কলকাতা হাইকোর্টের সাংবাদিক হিসাবে আত্মপ্রকাশ এবং সেখানেও দিয়ে যাচ্ছেন দক্ষতার পরিচয়। তবে শুধু সাংবাদিক হিসাবে নয় সাহিত্যের প্রতি নিজের অনুরাগ বারবার সামনে এসেছে। তার উদ্যোগে গত একযুগের উপর পল্লী কবি কুমুদরঞ্জন মল্লিকের জন্মভিটে মঙ্গলকোটের কোগ্রামে কবির জন্মদিন পালন করে চলেছে ‘কুমুদ সাহিত্য মেলা কমিটি ‘। সমাজের সর্বস্তরের মানুষকে কর্মদক্ষতার স্বীকৃত স্বরূপ তাদের প্রতি সম্মাননা জ্ঞাপন করা হয়। এক্ষেত্রে সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যক্তির সোশ্যাল স্টেটাসের পরিবর্তে তার কর্মদক্ষতা গুরুত্ব পেয়েছে। এভাবেই নিজেকে অন্য উচ্চতায় নিয়ে গেছেন সাংবাদিক মোল্লা জসিমউদ্দিন। তার এই কাজের স্বীকৃতি স্বরূপ ভারতীয় সাংবাদিক সমিতি (আইজেএ এসএল, সল্টলেক ইউনিট) সহ তিনটি সংস্হা গত ২৬ শে অক্টোবর তাকে কলকাতার রবীন্দ্র সদনে সম্বর্ধনা দেয়। সংস্হাগুলির পক্ষ থেকে জসিমের হাতে তুলে দেওয়া হয় মেমেণ্টো ও মানপত্র। এই সম্মান পেয়ে জসিম আপ্লুত হয়ে ওঠে। আবেগে তার গলা কেঁপে ওঠে। তখন সেখানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন কলকাতা হাইকোর্টের আইনজীবী বৈদূর্য ঘোষাল, বিশিষ্ট লেখিকা পদ্মিনী দত্ত শর্মা, ড. সমীর শীল, বাচিক শিল্পী সেবা গুপ্ত, গায়িকা রাখি ব্যানার্জ্জী, লায়ন ম্যাগনেটস ড. অশোক রায় ও পরিমল মালাকার এবং বিশিষ্ট শিক্ষাবিদ মানষী রায়চৌধুরী (টেকনো ইন্ডিয়া গ্রুপের সহ-সভাপতি) সহ আরও অনেকে। আইজেএ এসএল-এর সভাপতি আশিস বসাক বলেন – “সাংবাদিকতার পাশাপাশি জসিম যেভাবে সাহিত্যের দিকে নজর দিয়েছেন সেটা সত্যিই বিষ্ময়কর। শুধু তাই নয় সমাজের বিভিন্ন স্তরের সাধারণ মানুষকে সম্মান জানানোর মধ্যে দিয়ে তার উদারতা প্রকাশ পায়। এরকম একজন ব্যক্তিকে সম্মান জানানোর সুযোগ পেয়ে আমরা গর্বিত”। অন্য সংস্হার কর্মকর্তাদের কণ্ঠেও শোনা যায় একই সুর। তাকে সম্বর্ধনা জানানোর জন্য সংশ্লিষ্ট সংস্হাগুলির কর্মকর্তাদের প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করে জসিম বললেন – “সম্মাননা পেতে সবার ভাল লাগে। আমিও তার ব্যতিক্রম নই। তবে এতে দায়িত্ব আরও বেড়ে যায়। কাজের প্রতি বাড়তি উৎসাহ পাওয়া যায়। আমার প্রতি যারা বিশ্বাস রেখেছেন আগামী দিনেও তাদের বিশ্বাসের মর্যাদা রাখার চেষ্টা করব”।

It started twenty years ago from Mofswal. At that time, in the heart of bloody Mangalkot, where residents would go to sleep and wake up to the sound of bombs, fearless journalism was a difficult task and while doing it, he had to be repeatedly tortured by the CPM’s shenanigans. Even though he was wounded, he did not give up. The pen did not stop. Even during the Trinamool period, the situation has not changed much. Then journey from Mofswal to Calcutta metropolis. Debut as a reporter of Calcutta High Court and showing his skills there too. However, not only as a journalist but also his passion for literature has repeatedly come to the fore. On his initiative, the ‘Kumud Sahitya Mela Committee’ has been celebrating the poet’s birthday in Kogram, Mangalkot, the birth place of rural poet Kumudaranjan Mallick for the last one century. People from all walks of life are honored as a recognized form of efficiency. In this case, instead of the social status of the concerned person, his efficiency has been given importance. This is how journalist Molla Jasimuddin has taken himself to another height. In recognition of his work, three organizations including the Indian Journalists Association (IJA SL, Salt Lake Unit) felicitated him at Rabindra Sadan in Kolkata on October 26. Mementos and certificates were handed over to Jasim by the organizations. Jasim was overwhelmed by this honor. His voice trembled with emotion. Calcutta High Court lawyer Baidurya Ghoshal, prominent writer Padmini Dutta Sharma, Dr. Sameer Sheel, singer Seba Gupta, singer Rakhi Banerjee, Lion Magnets. Ashok Roy and Parimal Malakar and eminent educationist Manshi Roychowdhury (Vice President of Techno India Group) and many others. IJA SL President Ashis Basak said – “Apart from journalism Jasim’s focus on literature is really amazing. Not only that, his generosity shows in honoring common people from different walks of life. We are proud to honor such a person”. The same tone can be heard in the voices of other Sanshar officials. Expressing his gratitude to the officials of the concerned organizations for felicitating him, Jasim said – “Everyone likes to be honored. I am no exception. But it increases the responsibility. It gives extra motivation to work. I will try to keep the faith of those who have faith in me in the days to come.”
