মালদায় কুমির আতঙ্ক

মালদা: মালদায় কুমির আতঙ্ক। কৌতূহল মানুষের উপচে পড়া ভিড়। রবিবার দুপুরে মালদা শহরের বালুচর এলাকায় মহানন্দা নদীতে দেখতে পাওয়া যায় একটি কুমির। তা দেখতেই স্থানীয় মানুষের ঢল নামে মহানন্দা নদীর তীরে এবং সেতুর ওপরে। তবে এটি কুমির না ঘড়িয়াল তা এখনও স্পষ্ট নয় কেউই। ইতিমধ্যে এই নিয়ে ইংলিশ বাজার পুলিশের পক্ষ থেকে নদী তীরবর্তী সাধারণ মানুষদের সচেতন করা হয়েছে। এই মুহূর্তে যাতে কেউ নদীতে স্নান করতে না নামে তার জন্য মাইকিং করা হচ্ছে। এদিকে এই ঘটনায় এদিন ব্যাপক চাঞ্চল্য ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। স্থানীয় বাসিন্দারা জানান এটি কুমির না ঘড়িয়াল তা এখনো জানা যায়নি। লোকের মুখে শুনতে পেয়ে কুমির দেখার জন্য তারাও এসেছেন।
