মূকাভিনয় শিল্পের চর্চাকে উৎসাহিত করার লক্ষ্যে এবছর সোমা মাইম থিয়েটার আয়োজন করতে চলেছে তৃতীয় মূকাভিনয় উৎসব, যার নাম “মাইম ফিয়েস্তা”। এই উৎসবে এবছর বিগত বছরের মতো ৪জন মূকাভিনেত্রীকে তারা সম্মান জানাবেন। এছাড়াও এবছর থেকে শুরু হচ্ছে মুকাভিনেতা স্বর্গীয় মানিক মজুমদারের স্মৃতি স্মারক “মনের মানিক সম্মান”। উৎসব অনুষ্ঠানের সূচনা করবেন প্রখ্যাত নাট্যকার শ্রী চন্দন সেন মহাশয়। উপস্থিতি শিল্পীরা থাকছেন শ্রী আশিষ গিরি, ডিরেক্টর ইস্টার্ন জোনাল কালচারাল সেন্টার সল্টলেক শাখা, প্রখ্যাত মূকাভিনেতা শ্রী বৈদ্যনাথ চক্রবর্ত্তী, শ্রী অঞ্জন দেব, শ্রী রণেন চক্রবর্ত্তী, শ্রী প্রবীর গুহ, অভিনেত্রী শ্রীমতি সুরঞ্জনা দাশগুপ্ত এবং অন্যান্য গুণী শিল্পীবৃন্দ। মঞ্চায়ণ হবে নাটক ও মূকাভিনয় বিভিন্ন দলের। তিনদিনের এই উৎসবে থাকছে একদিনের মুখোশ তৈরীর কর্মশালাও। যার পরিচালনায় আছেন শ্রী দীপঙ্কর সমাদ্দার। সব মিলিয়ে সোমা মাইম থিয়েটারের এই উৎসব এক বর্ণাঢ্য আয়োজনে তাদের নিজস্ব অন্তরঙ্গ মঞ্চ এস, এম, টি এরিনাতে সেজে উঠতে চলেছে ডিসেম্বর মাসের ১৭ থেকে ১৯ তারিখ পর্যন্ত। শীতের শুরুতেই আপামর নাট্যপ্রেমী দর্শকদের মধ্যে থিয়েটার প্রীতির বোধকে আরও উৎসাহিত করার লক্ষ্যে এবছর এই উৎসবের আয়োজন। মূকাভিনয় শিল্পের সর্বাধিক জনপ্রিয়তা আরোও সুদূরপ্রসারী হোক এটাই সোমা দাসের একমাত্র কাম্য।
Soma Mime Theatre is going to organize the third mookavinoy festival this year, called “Mime Fiesta”, to encourage the practice of the art of mookavinoy. In this festival, they will honor four actresses like last year. Apart from this, “Manor Manik Samman”, a memorial memorial of the late Manik Majumdar, is also going to start from this year. Renowned playwright Chandan Sen will inaugurate the festival. 1954 সালের 19শে আগষ্ট শিল্পীর জন্মদিন। বাবা ছিলেন স্বর্গীয় সাধন বিকাশ নাথ, মা, শ্রীমতি প্রতিমা নাথ। পশ্চিমবঙ্গের নৈহাটি অঞ্চলে বেড়ে ওঠা। ঋষি বঙ্কিম চন্দ্র কলেজ থেকে তিনি পাশ করেন। শিপ্রা চক্রবর্ত্তী একজন জাতীয় ভলিবল প্লেয়ার। বহু সম্মানে ভূষিত হয়েছেন এই ক্রীড়া কৃতির জন্য। ভলিবল টুর্নামেন্টে প্রথম মহিলা হিসেবে পান “ইউনিভার্সিটি ব্লু” সম্মান। এছাড়াও তিনি একজন কৃতি পর্বতারোহী। বিশিষ্ঠ মূকাভিনয় শিল্পী শ্রী বৈদ্যনাথ চক্রবর্ত্তী মহাশয়ের কাছে শিখেছেন মূকাভিনয়। প্রথম অভিনয় স্কুলে অষ্টম শ্রেণীতে পড়াকালীন। কলেজ, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে, এবং পাড়ায় সমান তালে অভিনয়, নাচ, গান এসবে ও অংশ নিয়েছেন। তার মঞ্চে সাইকেল চালিয়ে প্রবেশ করে মূকাভিনয়ের প্রদর্শন উপস্থিত দর্শকদের মুগ্ধ করেছে বহুবার। স্বামী একজন বিশিষ্ট নাট্য ব্যক্তিত্ব। তার অনুপ্রেরণায় মূকাভিনয় করেছেন গরবেতা , ঘাটশিলা সহ অন্যান্য জায়গায়। পাহাড়ে ওঠা, খেলা, সাইকেল চালানো এসবই মূকাভিনয় এর মাধ্যমে অঙ্গিক অভিনয়ে বড়ো মঞ্চে তাকে এনে দিয়েছে অগাধ বিশ্বাস ও প্রশংসা। দর্শকের ভালবাসায় তিনি মঞ্চে আজও মূকাভিনয় প্রদর্শনে প্রস্তুত।

He passed out from Rishi Bankim Chandra College. Shipra Chakraborty is a national volleyball player. He has been honored with many honors for this sport.
