মালদা: ৩৯ হাজার টাকার জাল নোট সহ এক যুবককে গ্রেফতার করল রাজ্য পুলিশের এসটিএফ। ধৃত যুবক মালবাজার জিআরপি থানার সিভিক ভলেন্টিয়ার হিসেবে কর্মরত বলে এসটিএফ সূত্রে জানা যাচ্ছে। ধৃতকে আজ পুলিশি হেফাজতের আবেদনে মালদা জেলা আদালতে পেশ করা হয়েছে। এসটিএফ সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে, ধৃত যুবকের নাম শুভ নন্দি (৩৪)। বাড়ি জলপাইগুড়ির মালবাজার থানার বিধানপল্লি এলাকায়। গোপন সূত্রের খবরের ভিত্তিতে গতকাল রাতে রথবাড়ি এলাকায় হানা দিয়ে ৩৯ হাজার টাকার জাল নোট সহ ওই ব্যক্তিকে গ্রেফতার করে। জানা গিয়েছে, ধৃত যুবক তারাপীঠ থেকে মালদা হয়ে নিজের বাড়ি ফিরছিল।

Acting on a tip-off, police raided rathbari area last night and arrested the man with fake currency notes worth Rs 39,000. According to reports, the arrested youth was returning home from Tarapith via Malda.
