মালদা: বড়দিন উপলক্ষে অভিনব উদ্যোগ। অনুষ্ঠান মঞ্চ কিংবা ঘটা করে নয়। পথ চলতি সাধারণ মানুষ থেকে শুরু করে ভ্যানচালক, রিক্সা চালক, টোটো চালক এবং বাস চালকদের নতুন বস্ত্র তুলে দিলেন কাজী গ্রাম অঞ্চলের উপপ্রধান মন্টু ইসলাম। রবিবার সকাল থেকে মালদা শহরের অন্যতম ব্যস্ত আইটিআই মোড়ে পথ চলতি সকল সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষ থেকে শুরু করে সমস্ত যানবাহন চালকদের নতুন বস্ত্র তুলে দেন তিনি। তার পাশাপাশি বড়দিন উপলক্ষে নিজে হাতে কেক খাওয়ান সকলকে। এদিন প্রায় সাত শতাধিক অসহায় এবং চালকদের বস্ত্র বিতরণ করেন তিনি। বস্ত্র বিতরণ শেষে সাংবাদিকদের মুখোমুখি হয়ে তিনি জানান, রাজনীতির উর্ধ্বে মানুষত্ব এবং মানব ধর্ম। তিনি যার আদর্শে রাজনীতির ময়দানে এসেছেন রাজ্যের প্রাক্তন মন্ত্রী কৃষ্ণেন্দু নারায়ন চৌধুরীর আদর্শকে সামনে রেখে বস্ত্র বিতরণ করেন। পথ চলতি সকল সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষ থেকে শুরু করে সমস্ত যানবাহন চালকদের এদিন নতুন বস্ত্র তুলে দেন। প্রতি বছরই বড়দিন উপলক্ষে এই উদ্যোগ নিয়ে থাকেন তিনি। তাই এবছর এই উদ্যোগ নিয়েছেন।
