মালদা: মালদহের ভারত বাংলাদেশ সীমান্তের মহদীপুর পাঁচমাথা মোড়ে অনুষ্ঠিত হল কাবাডি প্রতিযোগিতা। রবিবার সন্ধ্যায় এই কবাডি প্রতিযোগিতার আনুষ্ঠানিক উদ্বোধন করা হয়। খেলা চলে রাত প্রায় ২ টা পর্যন্ত। উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিধায়ক তথা তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের সভাপতি আব্দুর রহিম বক্সী, ইংলিশবাজার পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির সভাপতি তথা ইংলিশ বাজার ব্লক তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের সহ-সভাপতি লিপিকা বর্মন ঘোষ, বিশিষ্ট সমাজসেবী প্রসেনজিৎ ঘোষ, ক্লাব সদস্য মারুফ সেখ সহ অন্যান্যরা। জানা যায় জেলার বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে মোট ১৬ টি দল অংশ নিয়েছে। চ্যাম্পিয়ন দলের হাতে তুলে দেওয়া হয় নগদ ৩০ হাজার টাকা এবং ট্রফি। স্থানীয় একটি ক্লাব এবং বিশিষ্ট সমাজসেবী প্রসেনজিৎ ঘোষের উদ্যোগে আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল এই কাবাডি প্রতিযোগিতার।
Malda: A kabaddi competition was held at Mahdipur Panchmatha intersection on the Indo-Bangladesh border in Malda. The kabaddi competition was formally inaugurated on Sunday evening. The game went on till about 2 a.m. Mla and Trinamool Congress president Abdur Rahim Bakshi, President of Englishbazar Panchayat Samiti and Vice-President of English Bazar Block Trinamool Congress Lipika Barman Ghosh, eminent social worker Prasenjit Ghosh, club member Maruf Sheikh and others were present. It is learned that a total of 16 teams from different parts of the district participated. The champion team was handed over a cash prize of Tk 30,000 and a trophy. The kabaddi competition was organized by a local club and eminent social worker Prasenjit Ghosh.
