Kolkata, 10th February, 2023: Motovolt Mobility Pvt Ltd, an electric mobility company, has taken an initiative to raise awareness about road safety and clean mobility by sticking reflective stickers on cycles at important traffic junctions of South Kolkata. This initiative has been taken in association with South East Traffic Guard and falls in line with the celebration of the Traffic Safety Week by the Kolkata Police to create awareness about road safety.
“Cycles are an important mode of non-polluting transport in the city. We have taken this initiative to ensure the safety of the cyclists during the night. Due to the reflective nature of the stickers, the cycles can be seen from a distance in the dark, which would help in preventing accidents. We thank Kolkata Police, particularly South-East Traffic Guard, for giving us this opportunity,” said Mr. Tushar Choudhary, Founder Director, Motovolt Mobility Pvt Ltd.
The activity which commenced today will continue till 11th February, 2023 at four key junctions in South Kolkata that have been identified by the South East Traffic Guard. The stickering will be done from 10 am to 12 noon in the morning and from 5 pm to 7 pm in the evening. The important crossings include Deshapriya Park crossing, Sarat Bose Road and Southern Avenue Crossing, Bondel Road crossing and Jodhpur Park Crossing. Over 2000 cyclists are expected to benefit during this period.
