পূর্ব মেদিনীপুরঃপূর্ব মেদিনীপুর জেলার নন্দকুমার থানার কালিকা খালির অন্তর্গত কামারদা থেকে পিয়াদা পর্যন্ত খাল দীর্ঘদিন সংস্কার না হওয়ার কারণে এলাকায় চাষবাসের অসুবিধা হয় দীর্ঘদিন ধরে, বারবার বিভিন্ন দপ্তরে জানিও কোন সুরাহা না হওয়ায় অবশেষে বুধবার সকালে নন্দকুমার থানার কামারদা বাসস্ট্যান্ড সংলগ্ন এলাকায় আশেপাশের কয়েকটি গ্রামের মানুষজনেরা পথ অবরোধে সামিল হয়। এলাকাবাসীর অভিযোগ খালের পার্শ্ববর্তী এলাকায় বেশ কিছু গাছ সরকারি উদ্যোগে কাটা হলেও খাল সংস্কারের কোন উদ্যোগে নেয়নি সরকারি আধিকারিকরা ফলে চাষবাসে জলের সমস্যায় পড়েন এলাকার চাষিরা তার জেরেই আজকে এই পথ অবরোধ করে আশেপাশে কয়েকটি গ্রামের চাষিরা। বেশ কিছু সময়ে অবরোধের পর জাতীয় সড়কে যানজটের সৃষ্টি হয়। অবশেষে ঘটনাস্থলে আসে নন্দকুমার থানার ওসি সহ পুলিশ বাহিনী। অবরোধকারীদের সঙ্গে কথা বলে অবশেষে সমস্যা সমাধানে আশ্বাস দিলে অবরোধকারীরা অবরোধ তুলে নেয়, নন্দকুমার থানার পুলিশ বেশ কিছু সময়ের মধ্যে যান চলাচল স্বাভাবিক করে।
