মালদা: আন্তর্জাতিক বাণিজ্য ক্ষেত্রে আমদানি ও রপ্তানির প্রসার বাড়াতে ইন্দো-বাংলা দুই দেশের ব্যবসায়ী সংগঠন এবং ডেপুটি কমিশনার ও প্রশাসনের উদ্যোগে একটি বৈঠক অনুষ্ঠিত হলো মালদায়। শুক্রবার সকালে মালদার ইংরেজবাজার ব্লকের মহদীপুর এলাকায় আন্তর্জাতিক বাণিজ্য সীমান্ত কেন্দ্রেই এই বৈঠকটি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। কেন্দ্রীয় সীমান্ত সুরক্ষা বাহিনী ও জেলা প্রশাসনের তদারকিতে ভারত এবং বাংলাদেশের আমদানি রপ্তানি কারকেরা এদিনের বৈঠকে অংশ নেন। সেখানেই আগামীতে দুই দেশের মধ্যে অর্থনৈতিক ব্যবস্থা মজবুত করতে বিভিন্ন ধরনের পণ্য সামগ্রী আদান-প্রদানে জোর দেওয়ার বিষয়ে আলোচনা করা হয়। উপস্থিত ছিলেন বাংলাদেশে কর্মরত ভারতের ডেপুটি কমিশনার মনোজ কুমার, মালদার জেলাশাসক নীতিন সিংহানিয়া, পুলিশ সুপার প্রদীপ কুমার যাদব। এছাড়াও উপস্থিত ছিলেন বাংলাদেশের চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ চেম্বার অফ কমার্সের সভাপতি আব্দুল ওয়াহেদ, মালদা মার্চেন্ট চেম্বার অফ কমার্সের সভাপতি জয়ন্ত কুন্ডু, সম্পাদক উত্তম বসাক, মহদীপুর এক্সপোর্ট অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের সম্পাদক প্রসেনজিৎ ঘোষ সহ অন্যান্যরা। পাশাপাশি বিএসএফ, কাস্টমস সহ আরো বেশ কিছু দপ্তরের কর্তৃপক্ষেরাও উপস্থিত হয়েছিলেন এদিনের এই ইন্দো- বাংলা বাণিজ্যিক বৈঠকে।
উল্লেখ্য , করোণা সংক্রমনের পর থেকেই মালদার মহদিপুর আন্তর্জাতিক বাণিজ্য সীমান্ত কেন্দ্র দিয়ে পন্য সামগ্রী চলাচল অনেকটাই কমে গিয়েছে। যার ফলে দুই দেশের রপ্তানি কারকেরা বিষয়টি নিয়ে উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করেছেন। এছাড়াও ইমিগ্রেশন ব্যবস্থাও বন্ধ রয়েছে। আর্থিক ব্যবস্থার দুর্বল হওয়ার পাশাপাশি আমদানি রপ্তানিতে দুই দেশের প্রসার অনেকটাই কমে গিয়েছে। এক্ষেত্রে রপ্তানি বাড়ানো এবং ইমিগ্রেশনের মাধ্যমে দুই দেশের যাতায়াতের ব্যবস্থা সরলীকরণ করার ক্ষেত্রেই এদিনের এই বৈঠকটি অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।
Malda: A meeting was held in Malda at the initiative of the trade associations of indo-Bangla countries and the deputy commissioner and administration to promote imports and exports in the field of international trade. The meeting was held at the International Trade Border Centre in Mahdipur area of Malda’s Englishbazar block on Friday morning. Import and exporters from India and Bangladesh took part in the meeting under the supervision of the Central Border Security Force (BSF) and the district administration. It was also discussed to emphasize on the exchange of various types of goods to strengthen the economic system between the two countries in the future. India’s Deputy Commissioner to Bangladesh Manoj Kumar, Malda District Magistrate Nitin Singhania and Superintendent of Police Pradeep Kumar Yadav were present on the occasion. President of Chapainawabganj Chamber of Commerce Abdul Wahed, President of Malda Merchant Chamber of Commerce Jayanta Kundu, Secretary Uttam Basak, Secretary of Mahdipur Export Association Prasenjit Ghosh and others were present on the occasion. Besides, officials of BSF, Customs and several other departments were also present in the Indo-Bangla commercial meeting.
It is to be noted that since the corona infection, the movement of goods through the Mahadipur International Trade Border Center in Malda has come down drastically. As a result, exporters of the two countries have expressed concern over the matter. The immigration system is also closed. In addition to the weakening of the financial system, the expansion of the two countries in import and export has decreased significantly. In this case, the meeting was held to increase exports and simplify the transportation system of the two countries through immigration.
