কাশীপুর বেলগাছিয়া অঞ্চলের বিধায়ক তথা কলকাতার ডেপুটি মেয়র অতীন ঘোষের উদ্যোগে আগামী ১৭-১৯ ফেব্রুয়ারি আয়োজিত হতে চলেছে তিন দিনব্যাপী দিন-রাতে টি-২০ চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপ। এই প্রতিযোগীতার নাম রাখা হয়েছে কাশীপুর-বেলগাছিয়া MLA Cup টি-২০ টুর্নামেন্ট। এই টুর্নামেন্টের এটিই প্রথম সংস্করণ। মোট আটটি অনূর্ধ্ব-১৯ দল এই টুর্নামন্টে অংশ নিচ্ছে। ক্লাবগুলি হল জোড়াবাগান ক্লাব, উত্তরপল্লী মিলন সঙ্ঘ, রাজস্থান ক্লাব, ন্যাশনাল অ্যাথলেটিক ক্লাব, পাইকপাড়া স্পোর্টিং ক্লাব, ইউনাইটেড ক্লাব, এরিয়ান ক্লাব এবং ইয়ং বেঙ্গল ক্লাব। এ ছাড়াও ফাইনালের দিন দুইটি মহিলা দলের ম্যাচও রাখা হয়েছে। ১৭ ফেব্রুয়ারি এই প্রতিযোগীতার উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত থাকবেন সাংসদ সুদীপ বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়, শান্তনু সেন, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকারের মন্ত্রী সুজিত বসু, প্রদীপ মজুমদার এবং বিধায়ক সুদীপ্ত রায়। ১৯ ফেব্রুয়ারি আয়োজিত হবে এই টুর্নামেন্টের ফাইনাল ম্যাচ। ফাইনালে উপস্থিত থাকার জন্য আমন্ত্রণ জানানো হয়েছে বিশ্ব ক্রিকেটের দিকপাল তথা বিসিসিআই-এর প্রাক্তন সভাপতি সৌরভ গঙ্গোপাধ্যায়কে। এ ছাড়া ভারতীয় মহিলা দলের প্রাক্তন অধিনায়ক ঝুলন গোস্বামী ফাইনালের দিন উপস্থিত থাকবেন। আমন্ত্রণ জানানো হয়েছে রাজ্যের ক্রীড়ামন্ত্রী অরূপ বিশ্বাসকে। এই টি-২০ টুর্নামেন্টের ফাইনালের দিন উপস্থিত থাকবেন ক্রিকেট অ্যাসোসিয়েশন অব বেঙ্গল (সিএবি)-এর সভাপতি স্নেহাশিস গঙ্গোপাধ্যায় এবং সচিব নরেশ ওঝা।
The three-day T20 Championship will be held on February 17-19 at the initiative of Kolkata Deputy Mayor Atin Ghosh, who is also the MLA of Kashipur Belgachia region. The tournament has been named kashipur-Belgachia MLA Cup T20 tournament. This is the first edition of this tournament. A total of eight Under-19 teams are taking part in the tournament. The clubs are Jorabagan Club, Uttarpalli Milan Sangha, Rajasthan Club, National Athletic Club, Paikpara Sporting Club, United Club, Ariane Club and Young Bengal Club. Apart from this, two women’s team matches have also been kept on the final day. MPs Sudip Bandyopadhyay, Santanu Sen, West Bengal government ministers Sujit Basu, Pradip Majumdar and MLA Sudipta Roy will be present at the opening ceremony of the competition on February 17. The final match of the tournament will be held on February 19. Former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has been invited to attend the final. Former Indian women’s team captain Jhulan Goswami will also be present on the day of the final. State Sports Minister Arup Biswas has been invited. Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president Snehasish Gangopadhyay and secretary Naresh Ojha will be present on the final day of the tournament.
