মালদা-ইংরেজবাজার পৌরসভার হ্যান্টা কালি মোড় তথা মালদা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতাল গেট সংলগ্ন এলাকায় শ্রীশ্রী মা দক্ষিণা কালীর বাৎসরিক পূজো উপলক্ষে হয়ে গেল এক বিশাল নরনারায়ণ সেবা। এই নরনারায়ণ সেবায় খাওয়ানো হয় খিচুড়ি পাশাপাশি সবজিও। মালদা জেলার বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে অজস্র ভক্তরা অংশ নেন খিচুড়ি প্রসাদ গ্রহণ অনুষ্ঠানে। পাশাপাশি মালদা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে বহু রোগীর আত্মীয়রাও প্রসাদ খেতে আসেন। এলাকার বিশিষ্ট সমাজসেবী পঙ্কজ গুপ্তের উদ্যোগে শ্রী শ্রী দক্ষিণা কালী মাতার পুজো হয় রবিবার রাতে। সোমবার সকাল থেকেই বিতরণ করা হয় হাজার খানেক দুস্থদের মধ্যে শীতবস্ত্র। এরপর মঙ্গলবার রাত্রে অনুষ্ঠিত হয় বিশাল নরনারায়ণ সেবা। এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত হয়েছিলেন মালদা জেলা তৃণমূল যুব কংগ্রেসের প্রাক্তন সভাপতি প্রসেনজিৎ দাস সহ অন্যান্য বিশিষ্ট জনের। জানা যায় এই দিনের এই নরনারায়ণ সেবায় শহরের বিভিন্ন প্রান্ত থেকে প্রায় সাত হাজার মানুষ অংশ নেয়।
On the occasion of the annual puja of Sri Sri Maa Dakshina Kali, a huge Naranarayan service was held at The Hanta Kali Intersection of Malda-Englishbazar Municipality and adjacent to the gate of Malda Medical College Hospital. In this Narnarayan service, khichdi as well as vegetables are fed. A large number of devotees from different parts of Malda district took part in the khichdi prasad reception ceremony. Besides, relatives of many patients also come to Malda Medical College Hospital to eat prasad. Sri Sri Dakshina Kali Mata was worshipped on Sunday night at the initiative of Pankaj Gupta, a prominent social worker of the area. Winter clothes were distributed among thousands of needy people since Monday morning. Then on Tuesday night, a huge Narnarayan service was held. Former Malda district Trinamool Youth Congress president Prasenjit Das and other prominent people were present on the occasion. It is known that about 7,000 people from different parts of the city took part in this day’s Narnarayan Seva.
