মালদা: পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সহ ভিন রাজ্যের প্রতিযোগিদের নিয়ে ভলিবল প্রতিযোগিতার আয়োজন করা হল। বৃহস্পতিবার রাত্রে মহদীপুর স্পোর্টিং ক্লাব এবং লাইব্রেরীর উদ্যোগে ভারত বাংলাদেশ সীমান্তের মহদীপুর হাসপাতাল ময়দানে আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল এই ভলিবল প্রতিযোগিতার। পশ্চিমবঙ্গের পাশাপাশি উত্তর প্রদেশ এবং হরিয়ানা থেকেও প্রতিযোগিরা অংশ নিয়েছিল। খেলার উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন রাজ্যের মন্ত্রী সাবিনা ইয়াসমিন, বিধায়ক তথা জেলা তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের সভাপতি আব্দুর রহিম বক্সী, বিধায়িকা চন্দনা সরকার, ইংলিশ বাজার পঞ্চায়েত সমিতির সভাপতি লিপিকা বর্মন ঘোষ, বিশিষ্ট সমাজসেবী তথা জেলা তৃণমূল নেতা প্রসেনজিৎ ঘোষ, মহদিপুর অঞ্চল তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস সভাপতি প্রশান্ত ঘোষ সহ অন্যান্যরা। পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সহ ভিন রাজ্য থেকে আগত প্রতিযোগীদের খেলা দেখতে দর্শকদের উপস্থিতি ছিল চোখে পড়ার মত। মঞ্চে বসে খেলা উপভোগ করতে দেখা যায় উপস্থিত মন্ত্রি সহ বিধায়কদেরকেও। জানা যায় পড়ে বিজয়ী দলের হাতে নগদ টাকা এবং ট্রফি তুলে দেওয়া হয়। উল্লেখ্য এলাকার বিশিষ্ট সমাজসেবী প্রয়াত রামচন্দ্র ঘোষের স্মৃতির উদ্দেশ্যে তার ছেলে তথা জেলা তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস নেতা প্রসেনজিৎ ঘোষের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত হয় এই ভলিবল প্রতিযোগিতা।
Malda: A volleyball competition has been organized with the contestants from different states including West Bengal. The volleyball competition was organized by The Mohadipur Sporting Club and Library on Thursday night at the Mohadipur Hospital Ground on the Indo-Bangladesh border. Apart from West Bengal, contestants from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana also participated. State minister Sabina Yasmin, MLA and district Trinamool Congress president Abdur Rahim Bakshi, mla Chandana Sarkar, English Bazar Panchayat Samiti president Lipika Barman Ghosh, eminent social worker and district Trinamool leader Prasenjit Ghosh, Mahdipur area Trinamool Congress president Prasanta Ghosh and others were present at the opening ceremony. The presence of spectators to watch the match of the contestants coming from different states including West Bengal was eye-catching. MlAs, including ministers, were also seen enjoying the game sitting on the dais. It is learned that cash and trophies were handed over to the winning team. It is to be noted that the volleyball competition was organized by prasenjit Ghosh, son of late Ramchandra Ghosh, a prominent social worker of the area, at the initiative of his son and district Trinamool Congress leader Prasenjit Ghosh.
