মালদা: একাধিক দুর্নীতির অভিযোগ তুলে রাস্তার কাজ বন্ধ করে বিক্ষোভ গ্রামবাসীদের। বুধবার সকালে ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে, পুরাতন মালদার সুজাপুর এলাকায়। ভিও-পুরাতন মালদা ব্লকের অন্তর্গত সাহাপুর গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েতের দক্ষিণ ভাটরা থেকে কোর্ট স্টেশন পর্যন্ত প্রায় তিন কিলোমিটার পিচ রাস্তা তৈরি হচ্ছে। কিন্তু রাস্তা তৈরিতে নিম্নমানের সামগ্রী ব্যবহার করা হচ্ছে বলে অভিযোগ গ্রামবাসীদের। এই অভিযোগ তুলে বুধবার সকালে রাস্তার কাজ বন্ধ করে দেন সুজাপুর এলাকার বাসিন্দারা। তাদের অভিযোগ, রাস্তা তৈরি হওয়ার এক দিনের মাথাতেই পিচ উড়তে শুরু করেছে। একেবারে নিম্নমানের সামগ্রী ব্যবহার করা হচ্ছে। এই অভিযোগ তুলে তারা বিক্ষোভ দেখাচ্ছেন।
Malda: Villagers have stopped road work alleging several corruption charges. The incident took place on Wednesday morning in Sujapur area of Old Malda. Around three kilometres of pitch road is being constructed from Dakshin Bhatra to Court station in Sahapur gram panchayat under VO-old Malda block. But the villagers alleged that substandard materials were being used in the construction of the road. Residents of Sujapur area stopped the road work on Wednesday morning. They allege that the pitch has started flying within a day of the construction of the road. Very low quality material is being used. They are protesting against this allegation.
