মালদাঃ হবিবপুরের কলাইবাড়ি থেকে ইংলিশ বাজারে লক্ষীঘাট পর্যন্ত অনুষ্ঠিত হল এক পদ যাত্রা। কেন্দ্রীয় বিজেপি সরকারের ভ্রান্ত নীতি, মিথ্যা প্রতিশ্রুতি, পেট্রল ডিজেলের মূল্যবৃদ্ধির প্রতিবাদে মালদা জেলা কংগ্রেসের উদ্যোগে অনুষ্ঠিত এই পদ যাত্রা। মালদা বিধানসভা কেন্দ্রের প্রাক্তন বিধায়ক ভূপেন্দ্রনাথ হালদারের নেতৃত্বে ১০০ কিলোমিটার এই পদযাত্রায় অংশ নেন জেলার কংগ্রেস কর্মীরা। সোমবার সকালে এই পদযাত্রা এসে পৌঁছায় নরহাটার দূর্গা মোড় এলাকায়। জানা গেছে গত সাত দিন আগে হবিবপুরের কলাই বাড়িতে শুরু হয়েছিল এই পথযাত্রা।
Malda : From Kalaibari in Habibpur to Laxmighat in English Bazar, a pad yatra was held. The rally was organised by malda district Congress to protest against the wrong policies, false promises and hike in prices of petrol and diesel by the CENTRAL BJP government. Congress workers from the district took part in the 100-km march led by bhupendranath Halder, a former MLA from Malda assembly constituency. The march reached The Durga Mor area of Narhata on Monday morning. It is learned that this journey started seven days ago at Kalai Bari in Habibpur.
