কালভার্টের মুখ বন্ধ করে ভরাট

মালদা: শহরের প্রধান নিকাশী নালা কালভার্টের মুখ বন্ধ করে ভরাট করার অভিযোগ। ঘটনার প্রতিবাদ জানিয়ে বিক্ষোভে শামিল ব্যবসায়ী এবং গ্রামবাসীরা। রবিবার সকালে ইংলিশ বাজারের সুস্তানি মোড় এলাকায় বিক্ষোভে সামিল হন স্থানীয় ব্যবসায়ী এবং গ্রামবাসীরা। গ্রামবাসী এবং ব্যবসায়ীদের অভিযোগ, সুস্তানি মোড় এলাকায় ৩৪ নম্বর জাতীয় সড়কের নিচে থাকা কালভার্টের মুখ বন্ধ করে জায়গা ভরাট করা হচ্ছে। রাতের অন্ধকারে চলছে এই ভরাট। শহরের অন্যতম প্রধান নিকাশী নালা এই কালভার্ট। এই কালভার্টের মুখ বন্ধ করে ভরাট করা হলে অল্প বৃষ্টিতেই শহর ডুবে যাবে। তার পাশাপাশি কালভার্ট সংলগ্ন বাগান এবং ব্যবসা ক্ষেত্রে জায়গাও জলমগ্ন হয়ে পড়বে। তাই অবিলম্বে নিকাশী নালা কালভার্টের মুখ ছেড়ে এই ভরাট করা হোক অভিযোগ তুলে বিক্ষোভে সামিল হয়েছেন ব্যবসায়ী এবং গ্রামবাসীরা।
