মোহাম্মদ জাকারিয়াঃ উত্তর দিনাজপুরঃ ব্রিজ না হলে ভোট দেবে না বলে বিক্ষোভ প্রদর্শন গ্রামবাসীদের। বুধবার সকালে উত্তর দিনাজপুর জেলার গোয়ালপাখরে ১ নং ব্লকের অন্তর্গত মাধবপুরাণ ও কাশিপুরের মাঝখানে একটি ব্রিজের দাবিতে ভোট বয়কট করলেন গ্রামবাসীরা। তারা জানান যে নদীর দুইপাশে দশটি করে মোট ২০ টি গ্রামের সম্পর্ক সাধন করছে এই হাতের তৈরি বাসের শাঁকো। তবে এই বাঁশের শাঁকো পার হতে গিয়ে ছোট বড় একাধিক দুর্ঘটনার কবলে পড়তে হয়েছে গ্রামের সাধারণ মানুষদের। তাই ব্রিজের দাবি তুলে ভোট বয়কট করতে বাধ্য হয়েছে? স্থানীয় গ্রামবাসীরা আরো জানান যে, নির্বাচনের আগে অনেক নেতারা আসে ব্রিজের আশ্বাস দিয়ে যান কিন্তু জীবন কেটে গেল এখনো পর্যন্ত ব্রিজ কেউ করে দেননি শুধু আশ্বাস দিয়েছেন আর ভোট নিয়েছেন কিন্তু এবার আর না । এক ছাত্র জানান যে ১২ মাসে মধ্যে ছয় মাসেই বাড়িতে বসে থাকতে হয় স্কুল পড়ুয়াদের। কারণ বর্ষাকাল শুরু হলেই এই বাসের শাঁকো দিয়ে পার হওয়া যায় না। তাই আজ বাধ্য হয়ে মহিলা পুরুষ ছাত্র-ছাত্রীরা মিলে ব্রিজের দাবিতে ভোট বয়কট করবে বলে বিক্ষোভ প্রদর্শন করলেন।
