পারিজাত মোল্লা, মঙ্গলকোটঃ ‘বাড়ী আমার ভাঙন ধরা অজয় নদের বাঁকে, জল যেখানে সোহাগ করে স্থলকে ঘিরে রাখে’। পল্লিকবি কুমুদরঞ্জন মল্লিকের কবিতার এই দুটি লাইন আপামর বাঙালির আট থেকে আশি জানে। পল্লিকবির বসত ভিটে মধুকর প্রাঙ্গণে প্রতিবছর ৩-রা মার্চ কুমুদ সাহিত্য মেলার আয়োজন করে কুমুদ সাহিত্য মেলা কমিটি। এবছরও তার ব্যতিক্রম ঘটেনি। পল্লিকবির ১৪১ তম জন্মবার্ষিকী পালন হলো মহাসমারোহে। গত শুক্রবার সকাল দশটার দিকে কুমুদ সাহিত্য মেলার উদঘাটন করেন বার কাউন্সিল অফ ওয়েস্ট বেঙ্গলের কার্যনির্বাহী চেয়ারম্যান শ্যামল ঘটক মহাশয়। সাহিত্য মেলায় প্রধান বক্তা হিসাবে ছিলেন রাজ্য সংখ্যালঘু কমিশনের চেয়ারম্যান মমতাজ সংঘমিত্রা। পাশাপাশি প্রধান অতিথি হিসাবে ছিলেন কলকাতা হাইকোর্টের এজিপি আনসার মন্ডল। সমগ্র সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান সভাপতি হিসাবে বিধান শিশু উদ্যানের সম্পাদক গৌতম তালুকদার এবং সুপ্রিম কোর্ট ও কলকাতা হাইকোর্টের আইনজীবী বৈদূর্য ঘোষাল ছিলেন। কবিপ্রণাম, পত্রিকা – বই প্রকাশ, আবৃত্তি, সঙ্গীত পরিবেশন চলে সারাদিন ব্যাপি। কুমুদ সাহিত্য মেলা কমিটির তরফে এবছর ‘কুমুদ সাহিত্য রত্ন’ সম্মান জানানো হয় ক্রাইম থ্রিলার লেখক ও আইনজীবী জয়ন্তনারায়ণ চট্টোপাধ্যায় কে। প্রয়াত বিচারক মোল্লা নুরুল হোদা স্মরণে ‘নুরুল হোদা রত্ন’ সম্মান জানালো হয় কলকাতা হাইকোর্টের আইনজীবী শীর্ষেন্দু সিংহরায়কে। সূদুর বাংলাদেশের যশোর থেকে আসা কবি কাজী নূরকে ‘হাসান আজিজুল হক রত্ন’ সম্মান জানানো হয়। সেইসাথে আইনজীবী মুকুল বিশ্বাস, পল্লব চট্টোপাধ্যায়, ছড়াকার তপন কুমার বৈরাগ্য, চিকিৎসক প্রণয় ঘোষ, সমাজসেবী বিশ্বনাথ রায়, সাংবাদিক জগন্নাথ ভৌমিক, প্রদীপ মুখোপাধ্যায় আনোয়ারুল আজীম প্রমুখজন দের সংবর্ধনা জ্ঞাপন করা হয় কুমুদ সাহিত্য মেলা কমিটির পক্ষে। সমগ্র সভাটি পরিচালনা করেন মোল্লা শফিকুল ইসলাম দুলাল ও শ্যামলাল মকদমপুরী । বিশিষ্ট অতিথি হিসাবে ছিলেন কলকাতা হাইকোর্টের আইনজীবী মাসুদ করীম, সিটি সেশন কোর্টের আইনজীবী অলোক কুমার দাস, মঙ্গলকোট থানার আইসি পিন্টু মুখার্জি, চিত্রপরিচালক ও সাংবাদিক ফিরোজ হোসেন,রাজা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় ,বাচিক শিল্পী অন্তরা সিংহরায় দেবীকা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় প্রমুখ। এই সাহিত্য মজলিসে প্রতিবারের মতো এবারের এসেছিলেন পল্লিকবি কুমুদরঞ্জন মল্লিকের নাতনি তথা সাহিত্যিক মহাশ্বেতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। বিদ্রোহী কবি কাজী নজরুল ইসলামের ভাইপো রেজাউল করিম এবং কবির নাতনি তথা বাচিক শিল্পী সোনালী কাজী এসেছিলেন । এবার এসেছিলেন রাজা রামমোহন রায়ের বংশধর ও সঙ্গীতশিল্পী ডক্টর রজত মোহন রায়। মেলা চলাকালীন দুই আন্তর্জাতিক চিত্রশিল্পী দীপঙ্কর সমাদ্দার ও বিশ্বনাথ দাস বিভিন্ন ছবি বিশেষত পল্লিকবিকে নিয়ে আঁকেন তাঁরা। শুধু পূর্ব বর্ধমান জেলা নয় পশ্চিম বর্ধমান, হাওড়া, বীরভূম, কলকাতা, নদীয়া এমনকি বাংলাদেশের যশোর এলাকা থেকে তিন শতাধিক কবি সাহিত্যিক, সাংবাদিকরা এসেছিলেন কুমুদ সাহিত্য মেলায়। কুমুদ সাহিত্য মেলার সম্পাদক মোল্লা জসিমউদ্দিন জানান – ” পল্লিকবি কুমুদরঞ্জন মল্লিকের জন্মদিন উপলক্ষে প্রতিবছর ৩-রা মার্চ মঙ্গলকোটের কোগ্রামে কবির বাসভবনে আমরা এই সাহিত্য মেলা করে আসছি। সরকারি সহযোগিতা পেলে আরও বড় আকারে এই মেলা করতে পারতাম”।

These two lines of the poem of Pallikavi Kumudranjan Mallik know eight to eighty of our Bengalis. The Kumud Literary Fair Committee organizes the Kumud Literary Fair on March 3 every year on the premises of Madhukar. This year was no exception. The 141st birth anniversary of Pallikavi was celebrated in a grand ceremony. Shyamal Ghatak, executive chairman of the Bar Council of West Bengal, inaugurated the kumud literary fair at around 10:00am on Friday. Mamtaz Sanghamitra, chairman of the State Minorities Commission, was the keynote speaker at the literary fair. Ansar Mondal, AGP of Calcutta High Court was present as the chief guest. Gautam Talukder, secretary of Bidhan Shishu Udyan, and Baidurya Ghoshal, a lawyer of the Supreme Court and the Calcutta High Court, were the presidents of the entire cultural programme. Poetry, magazines – publishing books, reciting, performing music goes on throughout the day. Crime thriller writer and lawyer Jayanta Narayan Chattopadhyay was honoured with the ‘Kumud Sahitya Ratna’ this year by the Kumud Sahitya Mela Committee. Kolkata High Court lawyer Shirshendu Singha Roy was honoured with the ‘Nurul Hoda Ratna’ in memory of late judge Molla Nurul Hoda. Poet Kazi Noor, who came from Jessore in Bangladesh, was honored with the ‘Hasan Azizul Haque Ratna’. Lawyers Mukul Biswas, Pallab Chattopadhyay, tapan Kumar Bairagya, doctor Pronoy Ghosh, social worker Biswanath Roy, journalist Jagannath Bhowmik, Pradip Mukherjee Anwarul Azim and others were felicitated on behalf of the Kumud Literary Fair Committee. Mollah Shafiqul Islam Dulal and Shyamlal Makdampuri conducted the entire meeting. Calcutta High Court lawyer Masud Karim, City Sessions Court lawyer Alok Kumar Das, Mangalkot Police Station IC Pintu Mukherjee, film director and journalist Firoz Hossain, Raja Bandopadhyay, bachik artist Antara Singharay Debika Bandyopadhyay, among others, were present as special guests. Mahasweta Banerjee, the granddaughter of Pallikavi Kumudranjan Mallik and a litterateur, came to this literary majlis like every time. Rezaul Karim, nephew of the rebel poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, and Sonali Kazi, the poet’s granddaughter and bachik artist, came. This time, dr. Rajat Mohan Roy, a singer and a descendant of Raja Rammohan Roy, came. During the fair, two international painters Dipankar Samaddar and Biswanath Das painted various paintings, especially pallikavi. More than 300 poets, litterateurs and journalists from West Burdwan, Howrah, Birbhum, Kolkata, Nadia and even Jessore areas of Bangladesh came to the Kumud Literary Fair. Molla Jasimuddin, secretary of the Kumud Literary Fair, said, “We have been organizing this literary fair every year on March 3 at the poet’s residence at Kogram in Mangalkot on the occasion of the birthday of Pallikabi Kumudranjan Mallik. If we had government support, we could have done this fair on a bigger scale.”
