ইন্দ্রজিৎ আইচঃ নারী দিবসের ঠিক সন্ধিক্ষণে কলকাতা প্রেস ক্লাবে প্রেস ইনফরমেশন ব্যুরো মিনিস্ট্রি অফ ইনফরমেশন এন্ড ব্রডকাস্টিং গভমেন্ট অফ ইন্ডিয়ার আয়োজনে নারী দিবস কে কেন্দ্র করে আলোচিত হল এক মনোজ্ঞ আলোচনা। অনুষ্ঠানটির নাম দেওয়া হয়েছিলো “Meet The Achievers”। আলোচনায় অংশ নেয় জিওলজিক্যাল সার্ভে অফ ইন্ডিয়ার ডিরেক্টর ড: ধৃতি ব্যানার্জী, FAITH-র চেয়ারপার্সন ড: মধুমিতা দবে, ICMR এর ডিরেক্টর ড: শান্তা দত্ত, বিখ্যাত সাঁতারু তাহিরিনা নাসরিন এবং পি আই বি এডিশনাল ডিরেক্টর জে নামছু। সকলেই বর্তমান সমাজে নারীদের ভূমিকা ও তাদের কাজ, সমাজের প্রতি দায়বদ্ধতা, নারীদের সন্মান রক্ষা এই সব বিষয় নিয়ে আলোচিত হয়। সেই সঙ্গে টিভিতে যে সব কুরুচিপূর্ণ মেগা সিরিয়াল দেখানো হয় ও সেখানেও নারী দের সম্পর্কে যে সব ঘটনা দেখানো হয় বা অতিরঞ্জিত করা হয় সেই নিয়ে সকলেই বক্তব্য রাখেন ও প্রতিবাদ করেন কেউ কেউ। মঞ্চে সকল অতিথিদের সংবর্ধনা জানানো হয়।
On the eve of Women’s Day, the Press Information Bureau Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India organized a discussion on Women’s Day at the Kolkata Press Club. The event was called “Meet the Achievers”. Dr. Dhriti Banerjee, Director, Geological Survey of India, Dr. Madhumita Dabe, Chairperson, FAITH, Dr. Shanta Dutta, Director, ICMR, Tahirina Nasrin, renowned swimmer and J. Namchu, Additional Director, PIB participated in the discussion. Everyone discusses the role of women in the present society and their work, responsibility to the society, protecting the dignity of women. At the same time, everyone speaks and protests about the ugly mega serials that are shown on TV and the incidents that are shown or exaggerated about women there. All the guests were welcomed on the stage.
