মালদা: ভয়াবহ অগ্নিকাণ্ডে পুড়ে ছাই হয়ে গেল একটি গৃহস্থ বাড়ি। ক্ষয়ক্ষতি প্রায় ১০ লক্ষ টাকা। আগুনে পুড়ে মৃত্যু হয়েছে বেশ কয়েকটি গবাদি পশুর। মঙ্গলবার গভীর রাতে ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে মালদার ইংলিশ বাজার থানার মাদিয়া এলাকায়। জানা যায় এদিন গভীর রাতে স্থানীয় বাসিন্দা মিরাজা আলীর বাড়িতে অগ্নিকাণ্ডের ঘটনা ঘটে। জানাজানি হতেই তড়িঘড়ি বাড়ির বাইরে বেরিয়ে আসেন মীরাজা আলী সহ পরিবারের সদস্যরা। মুহূর্তের মধ্যে পুড়ে ছাই হয়ে যায় গোটা বাড়ি। ঘরের ভেতর থাকা মোটর বাইক, নগদ টাকা, আসবাবপত্র এবং বেশ কয়েকটি গবাদি পশুর মৃত্যু হয়। খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছায় একটি দমকলের ইঞ্জিন। কয়েক ঘণ্টার প্রচেষ্টায় নিয়ন্ত্রণে আসে আগুন। এই বিষয়ে ইংলিশবাজার ব্লক তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের সাধারণ সম্পাদক এমডি জুয়েল রহমান সিদ্দিকী জানান, আগুনে পুড়ে সর্বস্ব হারিয়ে পথে বসেছে মিরাজা আলী। আমরা দলীয়ভাবে এবং সরকারিভাবে যাতে সব রকমের সাহায্য করতে পারি তার ব্যবস্থা করা হচ্ছে।

The incident took place in Madia area of English Bazar police station in Malda on Tuesday night. It is known that a fire broke out in the house of local resident Miraja Ali late in the night. The family members, including Mirza Ali, rushed out of the house. In a moment, the whole house was burnt to ashes. Motorbikes, cash, furniture and several cattle were killed inside the house. A fire engine was rushed to the spot. The fire was brought under control in a few hours. In this regard, Englishbazar Block Trinamool Congress General Secretary MD Jewel Rahman Siddiqui said, Miraja Ali has lost everything in the fire. Arrangements are being made so that we can provide all kinds of help, both party and government.
